Welcome Back Message from the District Superintendent
Issue I: 2025-2026 School Year- August 15, 2025
Greetings Crestwood Comet Families,
Welcome Back to a brand-new school year! I am excited to start the 2025-2026 journey with you!
To our Students:
I can’t wait for your return and to see you achieve great things this school year. Soon you will fill our halls with your energy, curiosity and bright smiles! This is your year to learn new things, make new friends, and SOAR!
To our Parents and Guardians:
I am excited to begin a new year filled with tremendous opportunities for learning, growth, and connection. Whether you are returning or joining us for the first time, I am thrilled to have you be a part of the Crestwood Comet School Community.
This year, the District remains committed to fostering a safe and engaging environment where every student can thrive academically. I want to thank our staff for their dedication and effort to getting our buildings ready. Thank you to the administrators, administrative assistants, secretaries, maintenance, IT, custodial and support staff!
Soon our hallways and learning spaces will be filled with the energy, laughter, and enthusiasm from our students. Returning from summer break is always filled with feelings of excitement and nervous anticipation. Whether you are experiencing it for the first time as a family, or you are returning, these memories will last a lifetime.
I believe that strong partnerships between home and school are essential to student success. I invite you to stay involved, communicate openly, and take an active role in your child's educational journey. Together, we can create a positive and inspiring school year.
Thank you for your continued support and cooperation.
Let’s make this a great year!
With Crestwood Comet Pride,

Academic Expansion
New Elementary School (Grades K – 6) Special Program Art & Humanities🎨
We are excited to start our new Art & Humanities elementary special program this school year which will focus on:
World Languages – Introducing students to foundational concepts in different languages to build early communication skills and cultural awareness.
Geography and Global Studies – Exploring world cultures, landmarks, traditions, and global citizenship to help students understand their place in a diverse world.
Arts – Encouraging creative expression through painting, sculpture, and artistic development. Interdisciplinary Learning Experiences – Integrating geography, history, art, and world languages into engaging, hands-on projects that enhance critical thinking and creativity. This program will empower elementary students to think globally, create boldly, and explore new perspectives.
Enhanced Offering for the Secondary Campus (Grades 7-12) Music Education 🎵
We are thrilled to share that this year, the Crestwood School District has new music electives at the Secondary Campus, including:
Music Technology – Exploring digital music production, sound engineering, and modern recording techniques.
Music Songwriting and Composition – Encouraging students to develop creative writing skills through lyric composition and instrumental arrangement.
Music Theory – Teaching students the fundamentals of musical notation, harmony, and structure to deepen their understanding of music.
These additions will nurture students’ musical talents while incorporating technology and creativity into their education.
Expansion of Advanced Placement (AP) Offerings🏫
To further support academic excellence, the district introduced AP Biology at the high school level for the 2025-2026 school year. This will provide students with a rigorous, college-level biology course to prepare them for their futures. Since the 2022-2023 school year, the Crestwood School District has four new AP courses, bringing the total number of Advanced Placement offerings to twelve (12). This continued expansion reflects the district’s dedication to academic rigor, college readiness, and innovative curriculum offerings designed to challenge and inspire students.
