I hope you and your kiddos are enjoying the start of the school year.

We are entering the time of the year when the school year begins to start taking shape. There are numerous extra-curricular events going on, friendships are taking place, grades are being entered in Ascender, etc.... If have any questions about grades, please contact your kiddos teacher(s).

September 22nd will be the first Eligibility Check for grades. In order for a student to remain eligible to participate in extra-curricular events, the student must be passing all classes at 3:20pm on this date.

The next grade check for a 9-week grading period will occur at the end of the 9-week grading period (even if it is more or less than 3 weeks). Then the eligibility check is each 9 weeks after.

Yearbook Photos will take place on September 22nd in the Cafeteria.

Seniors, Did you know that it is already time to apply for some Scholarships? Stop by Mrs. Garrett's office during the passing periods for more information on scholarship opportunities.

FAFSA Night will be on October 2 from 5:30 - 6:30.

Mrs. Garrett will be providing information about FAFSA and how it can be beneficial for College.

Seniors, please remember that applying for FAFSA is a Senior Graduation requirement.

On September 21 from 5:30 - 6:30., all families that are involved in our Emergent Bi-Lingual (LPAC) program are invited to attend our first LPAC night. During this meeting we will discuss upcoming events, and provide College & Career Information.

This meeting will take place in Mrs. Dixon's classroom.

A new law passed over the summer regarding Vapes. The new law states that any student caught with a vape device with or within 300 feet of a school or school event must be placed in DAEP.

We are missing some back to school paperwork on a few kiddos. If your child has any paperwork that we need, we will give them the needed paperwork next week.

Our new Culinary Arts program has been amazing!

The students are learning how to make a variety of food, and I think I have gained at least 5lbs just breathing in the air.

Our High School Volleyball season is going well. District play begins very soon.

The Middle School Volleyball has just started and they look very, very good.

Our Cross Country season has been successful. Our kiddos have competed well against our competition and look to continue improving each week.

The JH Baseball season has been very succssful. Our team has won a couple games, been competitive in all, but more importantly, they are learning about hard work, grit, and the fundamentals of the game.

Our Ag, kiddos have started work on obtaining certifications. The pictures below show the students working on their AWS 9.1 IBC Certification.
