Parent Notification

Dear Families,

Today, SMMS was briefly placed in a lockdown after a staff badge was accidentally activated through a pilot of our new remote alert system. While the system is not yet fully implemented, our staff immediately followed our lockdown protocol.

Please be assured that there was no threat to student or staff safety. Law enforcement was not dispatched, and normal school operations resumed shortly afterward.

We apologize for any concern this may have caused and appreciate your understanding as we continue to strengthen our safety practices.

Sincerely,

Spring Mills Middle School
