From Mrs Tennenbaum

For the month of October, we are focusing on responsibility which includes organization. Our Responsibility tickets go along with our Harry Potter themed month as the "houses" are working to earn the house cup. Here are the houses:

4th grade: Gryffindor

3rd grade: Ravenclaw

2nd grade: Slytherin

1st grade: Hufflepuff

Kindergarten: The Owlery

Please continue to reinforce the ROAR expectations as well as being responsible. We appreciate the partnership between home and school. Thank you to all of our parent volunteers this week who staffed the book fair and those who went on the 1st grade field trip. We can't do all of this without our family support.

PTO updates

A huge THANK YOU to all of our amazing volunteers who helped make the Book Fair a success and to those who donated items for the Conference Dinner. We couldn’t do it without your support!

Now it’s time to get excited for one of our favorite events of the year—Trunk or Treat!

Check out the flyer below for all the details. We’ll need lots of trunks to make it a spook-tacular event, so start planning your decorations and candy now!

Don’t forget to sign your student up for the Read-A-Thon—it’s a fun way to encourage reading and support our school at the same time.

FAIRFIELD ELEMENTARY PTO has decided to hold a Read-A-Thon this year

Read-A-Thons actually get your reader excited about reading and it gives friends and family the opportunity to encourage your child to read even more.

Our Read-A-Thon starts Friday September 26, 2025.

About one week before our Read-A-Thon starts we will send home instructions on how to activate your reader's personal page. This is where you will be able to view and record their progress.

We encourage you to activate your reader’s account today by clicking on https://www.read-a-thon.com/readers/r/3536393731/1?utm=email and following the simple instructions.

We've chosen Read-A-Thon because it will not take much of your time, gives your child a reason to read and helps in the development of stronger reading skills.

We hope EVERYONE participates.

Thanks so much,

FAIRFIELD ELEMENTARY PTO
