TALON TALK
π¬ Principal's Message
Hey, RMS Families!
We hope that Week 2 in #OurHouse has continued to be an amazing experience for you all and your students! Things are getting comfortable and familiar this week as we continue to build on the success our students had last week. Our students are developing their school routines quickly and taking pride in being part of Reynolds Middle School. The sense of community in our building continues to grow each day.
Getting the Hang of Things
Your kids are really finding their way around campus now! They're getting to their classrooms more easily and handling the daily routines well. The morning and afternoon flow is running much smoother as everyone gets into the groove. We even had our first block days this week, and your students did fantastic! They navigated the building, adjusted to the longer class periods, and enjoyed the extended learning time without any issues!
Club Participation
If your student is interested in joining any of our clubs at Reynolds Middle School, please complete the PISD Club Participation form. This form provides our campus with the necessary parent permission for your child to participate in club activities throughout the year.
Staff Kudos
If you've noticed a staff member going above and beyond for your child, we'd love to hear about it! Please consider submitting a Staff Kudos using our Google Form. These recognitions mean so much to our team and help us celebrate the great work happening throughout our school.
Student Expectations
This week, we've been having important conversations with students about our school expectations and guidelines. Please take a moment to review our slides. As a point of emphasis, we want to ensure families know that students who receive any In-School Suspension (ISS) or Out-of-School Suspension (OSS) assignments will also be prohibited from attending extra-curricular activities as a spectator (i.e. Dances, Sporting Events, Reynolds Rally). We appreciate our families reinforcing these same messages at home and being aligned with what we're teaching at school.
Looking Ahead
As we head into week three, we are loving our 2025-2026 Eagles and families! Your children's positive attitudes and adaptability have made the start of this school year go so smoothly.
Thanks for all your support in making this such a great start to our school year. It makes all the difference!
Soaring together,
Jess Mullins
