Dear Champion Cheetah Families,

Welcome to September! It has been a tremendously successful beginning to the school year. It’s been a wonderful experience to witness how your children are settling into their routines, making new friends, and engaging with learning. Our teachers and staff are commended for working at exceptionally great lengths to celebrate the individual success of every student.

As we progress through the first marking period, we thank you in advance for your support and contributions. Our positive relationships will continue to make a world of difference as Cedar Point exceeds expectations!

There are a lot of "firsts" in first grade! For many students, this is their first time with only one teacher, their first time with their own desk, and their first time managing their own supplies! Fostering independence and creating confident and comfortable students is our "first" focus in first grade.

PWCS is using a new bus tracking app for families of bus riders this year. Please download the EZ A2B app to receive tracking information about your child's bus.

Currently, the EZ A2B app is continuing to experience ongoing technical issues. In the meantime, bus numbers, times and locations are available in ParentVUE, including afternoon drop-off times. Any significant delays will be communicated to families directly by the PWCS Transportation Department.

If your bus information appears incorrect in ParentVUE or you have concerns about your child’s bus route or stop, please use this form to submit your concerns.

Throughout the school year, you may wish to bring in some type of treat for your child to share with their classmates, whether it's for a birthday celebration or just a fun day. In alignment with the Prince William County Public Schools' Wellness Plan (Regulation 275-1), we require that any edible snacks or treats brought for classroom events be store-bought and include a visible nutrition label. This is to protect students with food allergies. Specific requirements for snacks can vary by school, and even by classroom, so it's always best to check with your child's teacher before sending in treats for students.

We also encourage non-edible treats, such as fun erasers, pencil toppers, friendship bracelets, bubbles, etc.
