iPad Back-up

Within the next couple weeks, we will be working on swapping out the old iPads with the new ones. If your child has non-school related items on his/her iPad that they want to keep, they will need to save, copy, or back-up those items prior to handing their iPads in. School staff will assist with backing up items deemed to be necessary for a child’s current learning.

Reconnecting with Former Teachers

Over the past couple weeks, many students have stopped by to visit their previous classroom teachers in the morning before going to their current classrooms. Teachers love reconnecting with their former students and hearing about the exciting things happening in their lives. At the same time, the beginning of the school year is a very important time for teachers to build strong connections with their new students. To help with this, we kindly ask that former students stop by to visit their previous classroom on Wednesday mornings only. This allows teachers to give their full attention to their new class while still enjoying those special visits with past students.

Please take a few minutes and complete the Annual Update that can be found on the Parent Portal on Infinite Campus.

The Annual Update can be found be selecting the three bars in the upper left corner, selecting More, and Annual Update is on the bottom of the page.

You will go through all of the information that is currently in our system. This includes parent information, emergency contacts, and student and health information. Many of the questions will not need updating (home language, internet use, etc.) however you will need to complete each section, making any necessary updates, to reach the end.

The system will send you an email confirmation when you have completed the Annual Update.

Lifetouch will be printing proof sheets and sending them to the school, they should arrive within the next week. When you receive your student's proof there will be a QR code on the sheet, this will take you directly to the page to order your student's picture.

If you preordered pictures before Assessment Days these pictures will be arriving to the school. Any pictures ordered moving forward will be sent to your homes.

At this time, we are just waiting for the proofs to arrive and will send them home as soon as we get them.

Attendance Tip!

Getting to school on time is just as important as being at school. Research shows that continued tardiness leads to poor attendance. Many of the most important parts of a student's day happen within the first 15 minutes. This is often when they have a time to socialize with their peers, orient themselves for the day, take care of necessary business, and connect with their teacher before the day starts. Never underestimate the power of the first 15 minutes of school!

End of Day Routine

Please make sure your child's teacher has an accurate, up-to-date plan for your child's dismissal at the end of the day.

When changes are needed, please communicate those changes with your child's teacher prior to the start of the school day. We cannot always guarantee teachers will see emails during the work day (as it depends on the activities they have planned with the students).

For EMERGENCY CHANGES, please communicate with the teacher and call the front office no later than 2pm. Changes to end of day routines are difficult for students and teachers. If at all possible please change YOUR routine instead of your students routine.

Arriving Late or Leaving Early Arriving Late or Leaving Early

When your student is arriving to school after the 7:40am late bell or leaving before the 2:10pm dismissal bell an adult must sign them in/out in the office. Please come to the office through Door #1.

When students arrive late their attendance will be updated, lunch count taken, and a pass given for their teacher. This allows the teacher to know the student has been checked in and attendance has been updated.

When students are picked up early please plan for an extra 5 minutes, it is sometimes difficult to track down a classroom in the building and the extra time allows for everyone to not be rushed. When you arrive we will call for the student, this allows the learning to continue as long as possible. Letting your student's teacher know ahead of time is helpful so they can be packed up and ready when we call.

As always, thank you for your partnership.
