We Need Your Voice on the Steering Committee!

We are also assembling a dedicated Steering Committee to help synthesize feedback and analyze options throughout this process. We are actively seeking community representatives—with a specific need for residents from Benson and Castleton—to ensure balanced representation across our entire district.

If you are interested in joining the Steering Committee or have questions about the process, please reach out to Brooke Olsen-Farrell at bfarrell@svuvt.org.

🎆 HOBY 🎆 HOBY

HOBY Description

The Hugh O’Brien Youth Leadership program allows students to attend a four-day leadership seminar in May 2027. You will participate in leadership activities, meet leaders of Vermont State, and explore your own personal leadership skills, while learning how to lead others and make a positive impact in your community. From the moment you attend a HOBY program, you will be treated like a leader and encouraged to think critically about a wide range of issues that impact your life and the world.

If you are interested in being one of our HOBY Ambassadors, please complete the Google form shared with you separately. There will then be an interview process. The cost of the program is free to the students, however, you will need transportation to and from the event if held in person.

Come see Mrs. Dorsey in the Guidance Office if you have any questions.
