GRAMMAR GAZETTE
Thursday, April 14, 2022
Greetings, Fabulous Lower School Families!
Welcome to the April edition of the Grammar Gazette, a Lower School-specific newsletter for School of Grammar families. Please look for these communications on the second Thursday of every month to learn more about Lower School happenings!
It is obvious that normalcy is increasing and the end of the year is approaching with the busyness that the end of a school year brings! In the past week, we've celebrated virtue at an assembly, viewed amazing artwork, and held spring conferences. Still to come, we have our LS Music Concert, Battle of the Books, and various end of year celebrations for each grade level. More information about these events will be forthcoming from your child's teacher.
You should be receiving your child's report card in the mail this week. If you do not receive it, or should you have any questions or concerns regarding your child's progress, please let your child's homeroom teacher know.
As always, thank you for your continued support of your children, your teachers, and of Nova as a whole. We are incredibly grateful.
Warm Regards,
Brooke Tousignant
Lower School Principal
Kudos to our Lower School Art Teacher, Ms. J and all of our wonderful artists for an incredible First Annual Lower School Art Show! We had so much fun viewing all of the awesome art, playing fun games, winning prizes, and connecting with everyone again. Thank you for your incredible generosity through your donations and silent auction bids. We sincerely appreciate your support and are already looking forward to next year!

Welcome to Angie Van Den Hemel, who works at the front desk as our District Office Coordinator. Ms. Van Den Hemel comes to Nova having worked most recently as a Long Term Substitute Teacher, Technology Specialist and a Building Substitute. She also currently is a Lifelong Learning Instructor at the Science Museum of Minnesota. Prior to working in schools and teaching as well as being a Debate Coach, she served as a Legal Assistant. We are so excited to welcome her to the Nova community!
I want to thank Mr. Elijah Easley for his work over the past few months holding down the fort at the front desk. His calm demeanor and helpful nature was so much appreciated in this role. We wish him nothing but the best in his new role as a Family Liaison at another charter school in the cities.
Due to recent unsafe driving and parking practices, we want to remind families of our drop-off and pick-up procedures.
Most importantly, there is NO PARKING, STOPPING, LOADING, AND UNLOADING at any time in the parking lot at any time.
