Panther Express
February 24th - 28th
Welcome Back!
We are thrilled to have your children back in our classrooms, ready to embark on the spring semester of learning and growth. We know that winter break can sometimes disrupt routines, but we are eager to get back into the swing of things and continue the momentum we built before the break. As we return, let's review the importance of regular school attendance.
- Consistent attendance is a cornerstone of academic success.
- Uninterrupted Learning: Every day in the classroom builds upon the previous one. Missing school means missing vital lessons, discussions, and activities that are essential for understanding key concepts.
- Social and Emotional Development: School is where children develop crucial social skills, build friendships, and learn to collaborate. Regular attendance fosters these essential aspects of their growth.
- Establishing Positive Habits: Attending school regularly instills a sense of responsibility and discipline, laying the foundation for future success in education and beyond.
- Teacher-Student Connection: Consistent attendance allows teachers to build strong relationships with their students, providing personalized support and guidance.
We understand that occasional absences are unavoidable due to illness or other circumstances. However, we encourage you to prioritize school attendance whenever possible. Here are some ways you can help:
- Establish a consistent bedtime and morning routine.
- Schedule appointments outside of school hours whenever possible.
- Communicate with the school promptly regarding any absences.
- If your child is ill, please follow the schools guidelines for when they can return.
We're committed to partnering with you to ensure your child's success. If you have any questions or concerns about attendance, please don't hesitate to reach out to your child's teacher or the school office.
We look forward to seeing everyone on Thursday, Feb. 27th for our Celebration of Black History Month. Lift Every Voice and Sing!
Never hesitate to reach out with any questions, comments, or concerns.

Car Rider Safety
The safety of both students and staff are of the most importance!
- We ask all vehicles to stay in line during car rider drop-off and pick-up. We are moving as quickly and safely as possible.
- Cutting in or pulling around other vehicles can create dangerous situations and disrupt the flow of traffic.
- Following the designated procedures helps maintain a safe and efficient process for everyone.
We appreciate your patience and cooperation in keeping our school community safe. Thank you for setting a positive example and prioritizing student safety.
REMINDER: Early Checkout Policy
- Please limit early pick-up of children to emergencies and appointments.
- Unless it's an emergency, no student will be released between 2:45 and 3:15.
- If a child is out for any portion of the school day, the missed time is recorded as a tardy. A note sent in the morning will help us to have your child ready.
- Parents will be asked to wait for the dismissal bell. Come to the office to check out a student.
- Please be prepared to present photo identification upon request.
- NOTE: Any adult (18 years or older) must be registered in the ASPEN portal. Enrolling parent / legal guardian may add or remove an individual.
