Good Morning NMS Families!

I hope you all had a relaxing April break. Just a reminder that our 8th graders will be taking the Science MCAS during WIN and first period tomorrow. Additional time will be given to any students who need it. Students in grades 6-7 will follow a regular class schedule on these days. Don't forget our Kindness Carnival is this Saturday from 11-3. Lots of our clubs will be there along with games and inflatables. Looking forward to lots of fun for a good cause!

Have a great week!

April 30- Kindness Carnival

Kindness Carnival

On Saturday, April 30 we are planning our next community event at NMS from 11-3pm. Our kindness carnival will build off the assembly we had with Brian Williams, and we our asking families to bring new or gently worn shoes for children in Africa and the homeless in Worcester county. Come join us for food, fun, and a chance to celebrate kindness in Northbridge! We will have 3 inflatable activities for everyone to enjoy- human foosball, obstacle course, and a quarterback challenge. Our clubs will also be there offering craft making, face painting, games, and refreshments.

Science and New Staff Updates

Our new long term science teacher has started in house 3. Ms. Katie Bramley started on Monday. Ms. Bramley will be teaching Mr. Williams 7th and 8th grade classes. I was fortunate enough to spend time in the classes with Ms. Bramley today, and the students did a great job.

Ms. Spadaro is still out and we are not sure when she will return. In the meantime, we will have Mr. Kyle Gauthier taking over her classes until her return. We are trying to get some consistency in the classroom for these students.

I know it has not been an easy year in the science department, but our remaining science teachers have all helped out as much as possible. We are continuing to do everything we can to support our students in these classes.

Band/Chorus Concert

The NMS Band and Chorus are excited to invite you to our Spring Concert! We have been working hard on a wide variety of music: from Star Wars to the Beatles, Bruno Mars, and many more! We hope to see you on Tuesday, May 24 at 7:00PM in the NMS Auditorium as we share our music making with you!!

Please reach out to Mr. Goguen (jgoguen@nps.org) or Mr. Melo (pmelo@nps.org) with any questions!

After School Parking

Just a reminder not to park near the cross walk when waiting for your students after school. I have also asked the bus company to pull up pass the cross walk for after school busing. Please use the parking lot across the street to help our students stay safe.
