Redmen Review

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas at Sisseton High. Classrooms and hallways alike are full of stockings, lights, and trees, including the Junior's tree pictured above. Next week, students and staff will participate in holiday dress-up days as they get ready to end the semester and celebrate the season.

Monday: Christmas Character Day

Tuesday: Ugly Christmas Sweater Day

Wednesday: Red and Green Day

Thursday: Topper Thursday/Holiday Headwear

Friday: Christmas Pajama Day

Students in Mr. Bartlett's American History class had fun last week trying to accurately re-create Pickett's Charge, which occured during the third day of the Battle of Gettysburg, a decisive battle of the Civil War. Using toy soldiers and barnyard fences, students showed troop positions and advancements. Of course, the North won the battle, while Shane and Sindre won the battle for best re-creation.

Drawing and Painting students in Ms. Titze's art class experimented with textures this week by searching high and low in the school for interesting patterns. Using playdough and stamping ink, they created designs that showed cool textures incluing those of vents, the soles of shoes, bricks, and recycling bins. More proof that art can be found anywhere!
