Top Schools Rankings

U.S. News and World Report recently released a new national ranking of the top schools in the country, including in Minnesota. This year's list of best high schools evaluated more than 17,800 schools nationwide.

Eagan High School ranked No. 9 in Minnesota's top schools, and No. 706 across the country, the rankings show.

The 2022 ranking of best high schools is intended to show how well the nation's public schools serve all students, regardless of achievement level, by teaching them basic skills and preparing them for college-level work, according to a news release from U.S. News.

Families can also use the rankings to see how schools compare at the national, state and local levels on factors such as graduation rates and college readiness.

May 2 - 6 is Teacher Appreciation Week!

We want to thank our teachers for the great work they have done and are doing with our students. Join us in thank ing them - send a note, a card, an email of appreciation this coming week! It will be enjoyed and treasured.

FIRST Robotics Team 2220

FIRST Robotics Team 2220 – Eagan HS – won the most prestigious Chairman’s Award once again this year! Congratulations to all team members, coaches and adult mentors on a great season. They just returned from the National Competition in Houston, Texas and will soon participate in the MSHSL State Robotics Tournament at the University of Minnesota.

EHS Closed Campus - we continue this

Our students are not allowed to be departing from campus for lunch or any class periods (including study halls). Nor are students allowed to be in our parking lots anytime during the school day - instead of inside the building as assigned. Please remember that our Food Service is providing breakfast and lunch for all students, free to all, again this school year.

Parents/Guardians must arrange for students to be authorized to depart for appointments as necessary. This needs to be arranged ahead of time with Attendance and cannot be multiple days.

Food Deliveries from Door Dash or Other Services

Please do not order or send food deliveries to our students. We are not accepting these deliveries and will not be notifying students that they have arrived. Students may bring their lunches or enjoy the District 196 Food and Nutrition food that is provided free during all lunch periods - and even before school breakfast - in our cafeteria. Since we have a state and federally subsidized food program we are obligated to limit the offerings to that program within the school lunch times.. Thank you!

COVID-19 Data Shared on Dashboard

Specific COVID-19 information, including data of student positive cases, school-specific cases, county cases and vaccination rate, is updated weekly on our COVID-19 Dashboard available on all school websites. (Be sure to scroll down the site until you can click on High Schools). School COVID-19 teams will no longer send case notifications to families. Families must maintain personal mitigation efforts, with or without a notification , and direct their attention to monitoring symptoms, keeping students home when sick and frequent screening as necessary.

We need all community members to care for each other and their community by practicing universal precautions:

  • Monitor for symptoms every day
  • Stay home when sick and test
  • Get vaccinated and boosted as soon as you are eligible
  • Test frequently for COVID

These mitigation strategies are repeated frequently to members of our learning community, but remain the most effective strategy. We recommend parents to check the COVID-19 dashboard regularly for updates, as well as using the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s daily county case rate tracker.
