The Weekly Roar: Family Edition
October 26-30
A Message from Principal Mike Cappucci
Hello Mableton Families!
Mableton Families,
We have an exciting week ahead, and we can’t wait to see our Jaguars and their families at all of the fun events happening at Mableton!
Trunk or Treat – Friday, October 30 | 6:00–7:30 PM
One of our most highly attended events of the year is almost here! Join us Friday evening for our annual Trunk or Treat. We are looking forward to a night filled with costumes, decorated trunks, candy, and lots of family fun!
We still need candy donations! With so many families joining us each year, we go through A LOT of candy! If you are able to donate a bag (or two!) of individually wrapped candy, please send it in with your child or drop it off at the front office. Every donation helps us make this a great night for our Jaguars!
All Pro Dads – Friday at 7:15 AM
Calling all dads and father figures! Start your Friday morning with us at All Pro Dads. We love seeing our families come together to strengthen relationships and spend quality time with their children.
Vocabulary Parade – Friday
Friday is also our Vocabulary Parade! We can’t wait to see the creativity of our students as they bring their vocabulary words to life. This is always such a fun way to celebrate learning and showcase our Jaguars!
There is so much happening at Mableton this week, and that is what makes our school such a special place! Thank you for continuing to show up, participate, donate, and support our students and staff.
We can’t wait to see you throughout the week and especially for a VERY busy and fun-filled Friday!
Together, we are Champions for Kids!
Have a great week, Mableton!
Your Proud Principal,
Mike Cappucci

Square 1 Art Fundraiser
Our Square 1 Art Fundraiser is here!
Our students have been creating amazing artwork, and now families will have the opportunity to turn their child's creativity into special keepsakes!
Square 1 Art catalog flyers were already sent home! These flyers will provide more information about the fundraiser and the unique items you can order featuring your child's artwork.
Every order helps support our art room! Your participation helps us provide art supplies and materials that allow our Mableton Jaguars to continue creating, exploring, and expressing their creativity.
These special keepsakes are a wonderful way to celebrate your child's artistic growth while supporting our art program!
Thank you for supporting our little artists and helping keep creativity thriving at MES!
With creativity and gratitude,
Mrs. Alvarez

Honoring our Veterans
At Mableton Elementary, we believe in being CHAMPions in the classroom and beyond, and this Veterans Day, we are proud to celebrate some very special champions — the brave men and women who have served or are currently serving in the United States military!
🇺🇸 Annual Veterans Day Parade
Our Annual Veterans Day Parade will take place on Monday, November 9 at 8:15 AM! We look forward to coming together as a school community to recognize and celebrate our veterans. More information about the parade will be coming soon!
Veterans Day Recognition Video
We are also creating a special Veterans Day Recognition Video to honor veterans and active-duty military members connected to our Mableton families. The video will be shared with our school community and featured on our school marquee!
If you or a member of your family has served or is currently serving in the military, we would be honored to recognize them.
Please complete our Veterans Day Recognition & Parade Form by Friday, November 6 at 3:00 PM.

Thank you for helping us recognize the heroes and CHAMPions within our Mableton community! We are excited to celebrate their service, sacrifice, and commitment together.
Champion Parent Tip of the Week: Kindness Counts — Especially When No One Is Watching
This week is a great time to remind children that kindness is more than simply being polite. It is noticing when someone needs help, including someone who feels left out, using respectful words, and choosing to do the right thing even when an adult is not watching.
Ask your child to look for one small way to make someone else's day better. It might be inviting someone to play, helping a sibling, thanking a teacher, giving a compliment, or sitting with someone who needs a friend.
Small acts of kindness can have a much bigger impact than children realize.
And when you notice your child being kind, name it: “I saw how you helped without being asked. That mattered.” What we notice and celebrate is often what children learn to repeatCelebrate Your Student's Birthday on our School Marquee

Would you like to make your child's birthday extra special? For just $10.00, you can add their name to our school marquee!

Support Our School EVERY TIME you shop- Kroger Rewards
Did you know you can support our students just by doing what you already do — grocery shopping at Kroger? It’s quick, easy, and costs you nothing extra.
By linking your Kroger account to our school through Kroger Community Rewards, a portion of every eligible purchase is donated directly back to our school. There are no fees, no extra steps at checkout, and your fuel points and coupons stay the same.
Even better, this doesn’t stop with just your household. Family members, friends, grandparents, neighbors — anyone who shops at Kroger can link their account to our school, no matter where they live. The more people who participate, the more support our students receive.
Every dollar earned goes directly to our kids. These funds help support student programs, classroom resources, enrichment activities, and special experiences that make school more engaging, exciting, and meaningful for our students.
Thank you for being a Champion for Kids and for supporting our school in such a simple, powerful way. One small step on the app can make a big difference in the lives of our students.
Here is how you do it:

That’s it — once enrolled, every eligible purchase automatically helps the school.
Visitor Entry Procedures
To ensure the safety of our students, staff, and school community, all visitors must adhere to the following procedures when arriving at the school:
- Ring the Doorbell:
Upon arrival at the school entrance, visitors are required to ring the doorbell located at the main entrance. This notifies staff of your presence. - Hold ID to the Camera:
After ringing the doorbell, please hold a valid, government-issued photo ID (e.g., driver’s license, passport) up to the camera for verification.
🔹 IDs must be in hard copy form. Digital copies or IDs displayed on a phone or other electronic device will not be accepted.
This step helps us confirm your identity before granting entry. - State the Nature of Your Visit:
Once your ID has been shown, speak clearly into the intercom system and state the reason for your visit. Please provide specific details (e.g., meeting with a staff member, student pick-up – include the student’s name, delivering supplies). - Wait for Authorization:
After verification, school staff will authorize your entry.
🚫 Please do not hold the door open for others who have not completed the check-in process.
These measures are in place to maintain a secure and safe environment for everyone at Mableton Elementary. We appreciate your cooperation and understanding.
