WHS Principal's Update
Week of 1/29-2/2

Lots Happening at Wellington High School!!
We Celebrated Literacy This Week!!! 🍎
This week we celebrated literacy by believing in our “shelf”. Every day on the announcements we focused on a new way to build our resiliency through reading. This week was designed to raise awareness about the importance of reading and to inspire Florida's students and families to make reading part of their daily routines. We have so many great books in our media center just waiting to be checked out.
GET YOUR YEARBOOK!!! TIME IS RUNNING OUT!

Please contact the yearbook adviser, Pami Costanzo at Pami.Costanzo@palmbeachschools.org with any questions.
AICE & AP Testing Calendar for Spring 2024
Attached, please find the Spring calendar of testing beginning at the end of April. Please ensure you plan accordingly! Please be reminded that there are absolutely no make ups for any AICE testing. Any student who misses an AICE Exam will have to refund the school for the cost of the exam along with paying to take the exam the following year, if the student so chooses. I just want to ensure we are transparent! Mandatory senior activities are also listed on the calendar so you can plan accordingly as well.
Grade Level Assemblies
Last week, the Grade Level Assistant Principals conducted our Grade Level Assemblies where once again, we reviewed policies, procedures and expectations. I am attaching a copy of the slide show that was used for your review!
Friendly reminder that ALL students, staff and faculty MUST wear their ID, visible at all times. Students without an ID will be sent to get a new one and the cost will be added to their fees and fines. Students may also receive consequences for insubordination if not wearing their ID. It is extremely important that we can identify every person on this campus. Your assistance and cooperation is greatly appreciated!
Fees and Fines
Parents and students, please make sure you are frequently checking in SIS for fees and
fines that may be owed. Every student on campus is required to have an ID with the
appropriate grade level lanyard visible around their necks at all times while on campus
for safety and security reasons. If a student does not have theirs, they are required to
purchase another. The cost adds up! Parents, please talk with your student about the
importance of having their ID and lanyard and, also, checking periodically for any
obligations they may have. Remember… students may not participate in extracurricular
activities when they have outstanding fees and fines. Thank you! If you have any
questions about fees and fines, please reach out to
