Targeted Assistance School

Helping students to reach their profeciency goals!

Conway School District receives Title I funds to "target" students who need additional assistance in reading, math, or school readiness. With targeted assistance, we take the highest need students for intervention services while other students receive their interventions in the classroom. The goal of Title I is to ensure that every child has a fair, equal, and significant opportunity to obtain a high-quality education. And to reach proficiency our state and local assessments.

Melissa Brown is our intervention teacher and special programs coordinator. Melissa as well as several paraeducators provide instructional assistance to students that have been identified as needing the most assistance.

Teacher Qualifications

All parents and guardians have the right to request information regarding the professional qualifications of your child’s classroom teacher(s) or instructional paraeducators.

Conway staff are highly qualified and meet all requirements to be licensed and employed in their positions. ALL paraeducators meet or exceed the state requirements for their positions. Please see the information below if you would like to request information about your child’s teacher or a paraeducator that works with them.

If you would like to request information on your child's teacher, please contact Austin Hight in the District Office.

Additional Notifications

The federal department of education also requires we annually notify families of the following:

Individual report cards that let you know how your child is progressing. Conway shares report cards at the end of each trimester.

Information on state and local assessments. This information is shared through emails when we have state assessments and you will receive a score report when the assessment results come in. Local assessments are communicated through report cards, progress reports, parent/teacher conferences, and through your child's classroom teacher.

Student participation on assessments. This is included in our student and family handbook each year and was shared with families on our website and through our district newsletter. You can find the handbook at the following link: Handbook

English Learner (EL)

Notification to parents of students who qualify for our English Language Development Program is sent to each parent/guardian during the second week of school each year.
