Hello Raider Nation!

After all the excitement surrounding last week's Homecoming festivities, it's been a little quieter around Raider Nation this week, but things are about to heat up! Our football team heads to Toyota Stadium tonight to take on Frisco High School in another important district matchup. Tomorrow night, our volleyball team wraps up the regular season on the road against Reedy as they prepare for their upcoming playoff run.

On Saturday morning, our Richland Band takes the field at the UIL Area Marching Competition in Melissa at 9:00 a.m. Our students and directors have put in countless hours of hard work this season, and we're excited to see them compete for an opportunity to advance to State!

And while our fall sports are heading into the final stretch of their seasons, basketball season is officially underway! Both our men's and women's basketball teams hit the court for their first practices yesterday, and we're excited to see what this season has in store for our Raiders!

As we settle into the second quarter, it's exciting to see so many of our programs competing at such a high level. These opportunities are the result of months of preparation, dedication, and teamwork. Let's continue showing up for our students and supporting them as they represent Richland with pride. There's a lot to look forward to as we head into the final stretch of the fall semester!

It's a great time to be a Richland Raider!

Let's Ride!

Together we Champion

Happy Principal Appreciation Week to our own Dr. Lute Croy! πŸ’œ

Dr. Croy was stunned when he discovered a special β€œRaider Thanks” mural featuring his own high school graduation photo and handwritten words of affirmation from RHS students on Post-it notes. Throughout the week, Hope Squad encouraged students to add their messages of appreciation, creating a heartfelt surprise that left a lasting impression on Dr. Croy. The mural is a powerful reminder of how small acts of kindness can make a big impact when our Raider community comes together!

BEST PUBLIC SCHOOLS IN TEXAS
Named by HEB’s Excellence in Education Awards as the Best Large District in the State of Texas, Prosper ISD has an established 68-year history that is grounded in the humble roots of a farming community, now soaring to the fastest-growing school district in Texas, due in no small part to the pursuit of excellence in the arts, academics, and athletics. Our students and staff are routinely recognized on the local, state, and national levels for outstanding achievements, and our teachers are highly qualified experts who bring out the best in every student.

We are incredibly proud to share that Prosper ISD has officially been recognized as a Model Professional Learning Community (PLC) District by Solution Tree's Evidence of Effectiveness Committee. This is one of the most prestigious recognitions in education β€” and it belongs to every single person who shows up for our students every day.

This distinction is not given lightly. It is earned β€” through years of intentional collaboration, a relentless focus on learning, and a shared commitment to ensuring that every student in Prosper ISD has the opportunity to succeed at the highest levels.

ABOUT PROSPER ISD
Prosper ISD is a school district located north of Dallas in Collin and Denton Counties. The district spans approximately 58 square miles and serves more than 34,000 students in 20 elementary schools, 7 middle schools, 4 high schools, and one early childhood school.

🫢🏼THANK YOU TO OUR COMMUNITY FOR SUPPORTING OUR TEACHERS & STUDENTS
In November 2023, an overwhelming majority of voters approved $2.7 billion dollars to continue building excellence in Prosper ISD. Thank you for your continued financial commitment to our district.

And while our facilities are second to none, we know that it is the people who make the difference in Prosper ISD. From our bus drivers to our teachers to our teacher assistants, our staff is here to support students as they pursue their dreams of excellence in academics, fine arts, and athletics.
