Confirmation
A person is welcomed into the Catholic Church through the three Sacraments of Initiation: Baptism makes you a member of the Church, the Eucharist feeds and strengthens you, and Confirmation helps you to be a witness to your faith. Through this sacrament God pours out the Holy Spirit to strengthen us with His gifts and anoints us to be more like Christ

Healthy Celebrations at Holy Redeemer
Dear Holy Redeemer Families,
As part of our commitment to student health and wellness, we ask families to please refrain from sending food treats or organizing food-based celebrations at school for birthdays or other special occasions. This includes items such as cupcakes, cookies, donuts, candy, pizza parties, or similar treats.
We want to encourage students to see celebrations, recognition, and rewards as opportunities to focus on relationships, experiences, accomplishments, and time together rather than food. This approach also helps us support healthy habits while being mindful of allergies, dietary restrictions, and the diverse needs of all our students.
There are many wonderful ways to celebrate a birthday or special occasion without food, such as:
- A special classroom activity or game
- Reading a favourite book to the class
- Bringing in a card or special message
- Recognizing the student’s special day with the class
- Celebrating an accomplishment or milestone together
Thank you for helping us create a healthy, welcoming, and inclusive school environment for all of our students.
We truly appreciate your support and cooperation!

Family Wellness Worker (FWW)
We would like to welcome back Mrs. Lindsay Andreychuk as our School Wellness Worker. Please stay tuned for her updates in this section.
Service Delivery
Each school is staffed with a Family Wellness Worker (FWW), who works under the direction of their School Principal and the Assistant Superintendent of Faith & Wellness. FWW's receive clinical guidance from a Registered Psychologist.
The primary function of the Family Wellness team is to provide social and emotional support to students and families. Family Wellness Workers meet with students and parents to assess needs, set goals, identify required supports, and plan appropriate interventions.
They collaborate with school system staff and community resources to build a “village” of support around students/families who are struggling.
Referrals
Parental consent is required for FWW services.
Referrals to the Family Wellness Program may be made by students, parents/guardians, school administration, teachers, or other school staff (e.g. school counsellor or inclusive learning facilitator, etc.).
Parents and guardians can access these services by speaking with the Principal or contacting the school's Family Wellness Worker directly.
