Growing Kindness & Respect Together
At Rush Creek we practice Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) to help us teach and practice expected behaviors. This month all Rush Creek students are focusing on the character traits of Kindness and Respect! Students are learning to listen to and value the ideas and experiences of others, show curiosity, and demonstrate care through kind and respectful words and actions. This month, we are focusing on Kindness and Respect! Ask Your Child:
- What does kindness look and sound like?
- How did you show kindness today?
- How can you include someone who may feel left out?
- How can you show respect when someone has a different idea?
Try It at Home:
- Kindness Challenge: Do one kind thing for someone each day.
- Kindness Catcher: Notice and celebrate acts of kindness.
- Practice Listening: Take turns sharing about your day without interrupting.

Lunch with Students
Parents/Guardians are welcome to join their child for lunch during their scheduled lunch time in our designated Family Lunch Space. This designated space helps ensure the safety, privacy, and comfort of all students.
All visitors must follow the school’s sign-in and sign-out procedures at the front office. To help make the process as smooth as possible, please call the office ahead of time. We will have your student meet you in the office before lunch so you can walk together to the Family Lunch Space.
Early Student Dismissal
If you plan to pick up your student early from school, please notify the office by 2:00 p.m. We will arrange for your student to be in the office at the scheduled pickup time.
To minimize missed instructional time and help ensure a smooth dismissal, please notify the office as early as possible whenever you know your student will be leaving early.
For the safety of our students, parents/guardians will be asked to wait in the vestibule while their student is brought to the office.
Please note that students will not be released for early pickup after 3:30 p.m. without prior arrangements, as our dismissal process has already begun.
We appreciate your patience and understanding as we all get used to this new process. Our teachers and staff are also adjusting and working to remember the new procedure for sending students to the office on time.
Raptor Sign In NEW Location
For the safety and security of all our students and staff, everyone entering the building must sign in and out.
Our Raptor Sign-In process has moved to the vestibule. Visitors and volunteers will now sign in using the iPad located in the vestibule.
Please remember to bring a government-issued photo ID to complete the sign-in process. You may also download the Raptor Safe App to generate a QR code for a quicker sign-in.
Once you have completed the sign-in process, ring the buzzer located to the left of the iPad. A staff member will assist you and provide access to the building.
Thank you for helping us maintain a safe and secure environment for everyone at our school!
