Canyon Ridge MS January 5th Update

Soaring to Success! 1/2/2021

Canyon Ridge MSJanuary 5th UpdateSoaring to Success! 1/2/2021

Happy New Year Eagles!

We wanted to make sure that you saw the district update that we will be opening as planned with both in-person & virtual learning for students on Tuesday, January 5th and it will be an A day on Tuesday.

Please remember if anyone in your household tests positive for COVID, please notify Mrs. Sturdevant or our school nurse, Rachael Kristoff, immediately. Also, if your child is in-person & was with someone over the holiday break that has now tested positive for COVID, you must notify the nurse of the exposure. We are doing our best to properly contact trace & keep all of our students & staff safe.

We also understand that there are times when families would like to move their student(s) to virtual learning, but students should not be changing from in-person to virtual without notifying their counselor. If you are currently in-person, and want to do virtual until January 19th or grading cycle 5, please email your counselor, so we can make sure you are properly coded for your learning location. (If you are currently virtual and wanting to change to in-person this semester, please note the deadlines listed below and on the CRMS website.)

We can't wait to see students on Tuesday and look forward to kicking off second semester as we soar to success together!

Go Eagles!

Spring Semester Schedules

Families, some students may have a different schedule for the spring semester. There are various reasons for changes in schedules, so we encourage all students and parents to check the HAC to view their child’s schedule. Classes designated with C1-C6 are full year classes. Classes that show as C4, C5, C6 are spring semester classes. If you have questions, please reach out to the grade level counselor. Students will report directly to their spring semester classes either virtually or in person beginning January 5th. During advisory class the week of December 14th, students checked the HAC to view their schedule along with adding in their spring semester google classroom codes.

Maintain the social distancing, wear your mask, wash your hands & sanitize!

If anyone in your household tests positive for COVID, please notify Mrs. Sturdevant or our school nurse, Rachael Kristoff, immediately. Also, since we are in between holiday breaks, if your child is in-person & was with someone over the holiday break that has now tested positive for COVID, you must notify the nurse of the exposure. We are doing our best to properly contact trace & keep all of our students & staff safe.

We encourage our families and staff to do their part to minimize the spread of COVID-19.

By coming to school, you are attesting that you confidently answered “NO” to ALL of the questions related to COVID-19 symptoms and have a very low risk of carrying or spreading COVID-19. If you answered “YES” to ANY of the questions, you are to stay home. All screening information will be kept confidential by the campus administration and the campus nurse.

Students experiencing ANY of the symptoms from the list, in a way that is not normal for the student, MUST REMAIN AT HOME and a parent/guardian should email the CRMS Attendance Clerk (CRMSAttendance@leanderisd.org) and provide the student’s Full Legal Name, Student ID Number, date and reason for absence.

***Students who are required to stay home due to COVID-19 related symptoms can still access learning virtually if they feel well enough to attend virtual classes.
