December ETE Preschool Newsletter
Dear Preschool Families,
As the year begins to wind down, we’re filled with excitement for all the joy this season brings! This month is always a special time in our preschool community—a chance to reflect on how much our students have grown, and enjoy the magic that comes with winter wonder and holiday cheer. Thank you for attending our Parent Teacher Conferences last month. It was great that so many of you could come and meet with our teachers to discuss your child's learning goals.
We have a lot of fun activities, cozy classroom moments, and meaningful learning experiences planned for the next three weeks, and we can’t wait to share them with you. Thank you for being such an important part of our preschool family and for helping us make this season memorable for your children.

Supporting Your Child at Home
How to Help Your Child Recognize & Understand Disappointment
Disappointment is a normal, though difficult, part of growing up. Your child is
likely to experience disappointment as they make new friends, tries new things
and experiences the ups and downs of their world. Whether it’s a trip to the
park that is ruined by rain or missing a birthday party, life is full of little and big
disappointments. When you allow your child to feel, experience and learn from
little disappointments at an early age, you help them to create the skills they will
need to successfully handle the bigger disappointments they will experience
later in childhood and as an adult.
