Tiger Update
Information about Pickerington High School Central (10/3/26)
Message from Mr. Parker
Greetings Tiger Nation,
Week 9
What a FUN WEEK it has been! šÆ
On Monday, we definitely SHOWED UP and SHOWED OUT at our Homecoming Pep Rally! It was incredible seeing our school community come together in the stadium to cheer, dance, celebrate, and show our Tiger Pride!
A special SHOUT OUT to Ms. Karrie Korbar, ASL Teacher and Student Council Advisor, for putting it all together! And thank you to our band members and music teachers, cheerleaders and coaches, and Student Section Leaders for creating an amazing atmosphere. You all brought the ENERGY!
The Pep Rally was a great example of our K.C.C.P. visionāEvery Student Known. Challenged. Connected. Prepared. We certainly saw the Known and Connected pieces on full display!
The fun continued all week with our Spirit Day themes! Check out some pictures below of our students and staff showing their Tiger Pride! šÆ
Now, just like a team leaving a huddle and closing out the first quarter, itās time to LOCK IN!
Grades are due in ONE WEEK! Parents and students, take inventory of where you are right now. This is your opportunity to show that you are meeting the Challenge of the Classroom and Preparing for life after high school.
Seniors, this is your last first quarter of high school. May will be here before we know it! Make every quarter count.
Freshmen, Sophomores, and Juniors, no matter where you are in your high school journey, make every moment count. Connect with your teachers, coaches, counselors, and support staff. Ask for help. Make a plan. Finish strong.
This week's Winner's Manual fundamental was DISCIPLINE.
Jim Rohn said, āWe must all suffer one of two things: the pain of discipline or the pain of regret.ā
The pain of discipline is doing what you know you need to do. The pain of regret comes when you realize you could have done more but chose not to.
So, Tigersā¦
Which pain will you choose?
The clock is running. The first quarter is ending.
LOCK IN. FINISH STRONG. TIGER UP!
MACTE VIRTUTE ā Increase in Excellence.
TIGER UP!!! šÆ
As Always,
Tigers T.I.E.

Parking Lot Traffic Pattern (Hill Rd. Parking Lot)
Morning Drop Off / Student Parking
Greetings Tiger Families,
To improve student safety during morning arrival, in collaboration with our Student Safety and Security Director, we are making a change to our traffic pattern. During student drop-off and parking, we have experienced several close-call situations as students cross from the parking lot while parents are dropping students off. This adjustment is designed to improve traffic flow and provide a safer arrival experience for everyone.
Beginning at the start of the school year, we ask that you follow these traffic patterns:
- Student Drivers: Please enter campus through the Hill Rd. West Entrance to access the student parking lot. After parking, please use the designated crosswalks and cross carefully.
- Parent Drop-Off: Please enter and exit through the Hill Rd. East Entrance.
We will begin the school year using this traffic pattern and will assess its effectiveness as we monitor morning arrival.
Please Note: We ask that everyone respect the parking spaces of our seniors who participated in the Senior Parking Spot Painting tradition. These spaces are reserved for the students who purchased and painted them, and parking regulations will be enforced throughout the school year.
Thank you for your patience, cooperation, and partnership as we work together to keep all of our students safe.
Cell Phone Expectations & Procedures: Creating a Focused Learning Environment
Initiative Updates for the 2026-27 School Year (Cellphones / PCDs)
In accordance with Ohio Revised Code 3313.753 and Pickerington Local School District Board Policy, students are expected to keep their cell phones put away during the school day. This expectation is designed to minimize distractions, maximize student engagement, and foster an environment where all students can focus on learning.
First offense: The phone will be confiscated by an administrator and returned to the student at the end of the school day. Parents/guardians will be notified.
Second offense: The phone will be confiscated, and a parent/guardian will be required to pick it up from the school.
Third offense: The phone will be confiscated, and a parent/guardian conference will be required to develop a plan for future compliance.
We recognize that this expectation requires a strong partnership between school and home. We ask for your support by discussing this expectation with your student before the school year begins, helping them understand the purpose behind it, and reinforcing its importance throughout the year.
Thank you in advance for partnering with us to create a learning environment where students are focused, engaged, and fully present each day. Together, we can ensure that every student has the opportunity to learn in a classroom free from unnecessary distractions.
As Always,
TigersT.I.E.
(Trust, Integrity, & Empathy)
