Pathways to the Future (April 2026)
đź’Ľ Building Confidence Through Mock Interviews
In this episode of Pathways to the Future, CRY-ROP highlights mock interviews—giving students across the three districts we serve a chance to practice with real community members. Through these experiences, students build confidence, sharpen their communication skills, and learn how to show up strong in an interview as they get ready to step into the workforce after high school.

🔥 A Lasting Legacy in Steel
Students from Grand Terrace and Colton High Schools teamed up to install a steel sculpture that had been years in the making.
CHS’ Welding pathway and GTHS’ Art pathway collaborated on the piece, commissioned by Arevon Energy for the Condor Battery Storage Facility in Grand Terrace.
This sculpture represents the identity of Grand Terrace —featuring elements like wild burros, honeybees, the railroad, and Cal Skate. The piece will be unveiled during a ceremony on Friday, May 1, marking a proud moment of creativity, collaboration, and community impact.
đźš’ Future First Responders in Action
On April 15, approximately 250 CRY-ROP middle and high school students from all three districts attended the annual EMS & Tactical Medicine Expo at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center—a hands-on experience in emergency response.
Students called it their favorite field trip of the year, with many expressing interest in careers in public safety after connecting with first responders.
This opportunity was made possible by the dedication of staff across departments, including teachers, Human Resources, and Educational Services.
đźš’ Fire & EMS Competition at Crafton Hills College
Students from Citrus Valley, Redlands, and Yucaipa showcased their skills at the Fire & EMS Competition at Crafton Hills College, competing in hands-on events that highlighted teamwork and precision.
Congratulations to Yucaipa High School’s EMS team for earning 3rd place!
Students also connected with industry professionals during an advisory session, gaining valuable insight into future career pathways.
