Dr. Krueger's Spotlight on August

Hello West Seneca Central School District!

It has been an exciting summer in our District, and you will notice some improvement to our schools when you return!

During the summer WE:

• Constructed secure vestibules at Allendale, Clinton, and Win-Pott Elementary schools.
• Renovated the main office at Allendale Elementary.
• Replaced a parking lot and sidewalks at West Senior
• Replaced sidewalks at Allendale Elementary.
• Replaced roofs at Northwood Elementary, West Senior and East Senior.

Our incredible 12-month staff have worked tirelessly in hot conditions this summer to ensure our buildings are ready to welcome back students on September 2. I would like to thank and recognize our buildings and grounds personnel, custodians and cleaners, clerical staff, the technology department, transportation department and all 12-month administrators and staff for their hard work.

We will continue to share information with families throughout the school year through our website, social media and email communications to families. Please feel free to reach out with any questions.

We hope your summer has been filled with plenty of fun, relaxation and lasting memories.

The summer is officially over when Opening Days are here and this week was packed.

We kicked off the days with empowering speeches and by day two staff and faculty already had presentations given by building principals, rooms were starting to look the part for the first day, specific departments had robust professional learning time and so much more!

The feeling of future focused is so palpable around the district! WE are eager and so excited to welcome back students next week Tuesday, September 2nd!

When you are on the campus of East Senior High School, you can't miss the new digital sign that will serve as an additional communication tool for parents/guardians & students.

A huge thank you to the East Senior High School Student Council for their funding of this amazing digital sign, along with the district for covering the balance.

On Thursday, August 21st, the Erie County Association of School Boards hosted their awards night. Our very own School Board Trustee, Laura Sokol-Scott, was honored with the Ray Carr Emerging Leaders Award!

Laura was recognized for her dedication and service to the West Seneca Central School District School Board, her leadership roles and contributions to various committees, her role as Principal in the Career and Technical Education program at the Wallace D. Ormsby Education Center, her community volunteer work, and her involvement in various professional educational associations.

Her commitment and excellence shine in all she does, and we are proud that she is a part of our West Seneca team!
