The Mariner Connection

Principal's Message
As we prepare for the winter break, let us remember the importance of connection and unity. Let us reach out to our neighbors, friends, and loved ones, spreading kindness and joy wherever we can. By fostering a sense of community, we can make a positive impact on those around us.
In the spirit of the season, I encourage everyone to take time for self-reflection and self-care. Let us recharge our batteries, appreciate the beauty of the season, and indulge in the simple pleasures that bring us happiness. Whether it’s reading a book, going for a walk, or spending quality time with loved ones, let us cherish these moments and rejuvenate our spirits.
Wishing you a joyful holiday season filled with warmth, relaxation, and the company of those who bring you happiness. May the upcoming year be filled with continued success and fulfillment in all your endeavors. Together, we will continue to inspire, learn, and grow.
Warmest regards,
June Tribble
Principal

PBIS
Did you know we have a Student SAIL Team at Matt? Two students per grade level meet with our PBIS Team to give input on everything from what to add in the school store to ways we can celebrate positive behavior. This awesome team makes our school better every day!
2nd Grade Spotlight
Second Grade enjoyed learning all about how the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade started!
They read the book Balloons Over Broadway by Melissa Sweet to learn how Tony Sarg used his passion to invent the giant balloons floating in the sky on Thanksgiving Day. The students had a great time designing their own balloon floats, creating those designs, and parading them around the school.
Media Center
What's new in the media center?
Also new to Matt, Clint Pruitt from Construction Ready. He's been instructing 4th graders on how to measure with fractions and construct a birdhouse.
