The Jolly Roger Trolley Snack Cart

The Jolly Roger Trolley Snack Cart

with Coach Miles and Mrs. Sandlin

The Jolly Roger Snack Trolley brings together a variety of students from all grade levels to work on independent functional skills to lead, learn, and grow as one. By partnering the snack trolley team members build vital life skills such as communication by taking staff snack orders, and sorting among a few all while fostering a true culture of belonging and mutual respect across our entire campus.

FCCLA Invites You to Participate in the “Stuff the Turkey” Toiletry Drive for PCR-3 Treasure Chest!

FCCLA is on a mission to help our Pirate family by addressing the “Impossible Choice”. We invite you to join us in the "Stuff the Turkey" initiative, aimed at stocking the PCR-3 Treasure Chest with essential toiletry items. Many families, facing tight budgets, often face the tough call of choosing

between putting food on the table, paying bills, or grabbing personal care goods. Having access to essential items like toothbrushes and toothpaste can help prevent serious dental problems. Similarly, soap and laundry detergent are vital for avoiding bacterial infections and skin issues. Moreover, access to period products significantly lowers health risks.

  • Clean clothing and hygiene products empower children to attend school with confidence
  • These items also allow adults to present themselves confidently during job interviews and at work.

Please support our Pirates in overcoming the “Impossible Choice” by participating in “Stuff the Turkey” by donating the following hygiene and toiletry items:

  • Deodorant
  • Shampoo & Conditioner
  • Body Wash
  • Deodorant
  • Toothbrush & Toothpaste
  • Laundry Soap
  • Toilet Paper
  • Paper Towels

Donation boxes can be found at each High School Welcome Center from October 23 - November 30.

🔎Lost & Found Update!

We’re excited to share that Mrs. LaHue and Ms. Huddle will be in charge of the Lost & Found this year! To help us keep things organized and make it easier to get lost items back to their owners, we’ve enlisted some wonderful 3rd–5th grade student leaders to lend a hand.

Our student leaders will help us by:

  • Taking pictures of items that have been turned in (we will do our best to update images approximately every 2 weeks)
  • Checking our Lost & Found request form
  • Returning claimed items to their owners

Lost something? First, take a look through the Lost & Found photos on our Google Drive to see if you can spot your missing item. If you find it, please fill out the Google Form below with a description of the item. Our student leaders will periodically check the form and search the Lost & Found for matching items. When an item is identified, we’ll work to get it back to its owner!

We encourage students to check the Lost & Found regularly and parents to check the Lost & Found photos on Google Drive regularly. This helps us tremendously in getting items home!

Please. please, please, put child's name on lunchboxes, water containers, hats, coats, backpacks, clothing. This will help us keep out lost and found to a manageable amount.

Know a Pirate Who's "CRUSHING IT"? Nominate Them for Orange Crush!

Platte County School District is starting a new tradition to recognize the employees who make a difference every day.

Orange Crush celebrates Pirates who are “CRUSHING IT” in the ways they support our students, staff, schools and community. From creating meaningful experiences and welcoming environments to showing exceptional care and making a positive impact, Orange Crush gives us a chance to shine a light on the people behind the everyday moments that matter.

All employee groups are eligible to be nominated throughout the school year. Nominations will be reviewed by the District's Executive Leadership Team, and every nominee will be acknowledged for the positive impact they are making across our District with at least one (or maybe more!) nominees selected monthly as an Orange Crush honoree.

Celebrations and Birthdays

We believe it is important for the school to recognize our students on their birthday and other special days. However, for several reasons including increased food allergies and preservation of the instructional day, students are not allowed to bring treats from home or have flowers/balloons or other items delivered to the classroom for birthdays, going-away parties, or other personal events. Each classroom teacher will recognize the student in a special way to celebrate his or her birthday.

If a student receives a delivery at school, the student will be notified to come to the office to view the item. Parents will be responsible for transporting the item home. Birthday party invitations may only be distributed if invitations are given to every student in the class.
