Superintendent's Update

Dear CCPS Families,

As we navigate a busy and exciting autumn season, I want to celebrate our community’s unity and share a few important updates from Cecil County Public Schools.

On Wednesday, October 21, our students and staff across the district showed incredible school spirit and solidarity by wearing orange in support of Unity Day. Seeing our schools filled with orange reminded us of our shared commitment to kindness, acceptance, and inclusion.

Today marked our districtwide "Pink Out Day." We are proud to see our schools dressed in pink as Cecil County comes together to raise awareness and support the fight against cancer. Thank you to all our families and staff who participated in these spirit days to highlight important causes.

Our student-athletes have also been working exceptionally hard this fall. Fall sports are reaching exciting milestones as teams celebrate Senior Nights and begin preparation for playoff season. Please join me in recognizing our student-athletes, coaches, and marching bands for their dedication and sportsmanship throughout the season.

Looking ahead, Monday, November 2, 2026, is designated as our Fall Parent Conference Day. These conferences give families and educators a crucial opportunity to partner, celebrate academic accomplishments, and discuss goals for the remainder of the school year.

Individual schools will send detailed scheduling instructions, portal links, and teacher availability. We will offer both virtual and phone options to accommodate family schedules. If you are unable to attend on November 2, please feel free to reach out directly to your child's teachers to set up a meeting at a mutually convenient time.
