Spotlight on Local Dual Credit
At Houston High School, we are proud to offer students opportunities to earn college credit while still in high school through Early Postsecondary Opportunities (EPSOs). One of those opportunities is Local Dual Credit (LDC).
What is Local Dual Credit?
In the state of Tennessee, Local Dual Credit (LDC) courses are high school classes aligned with college-level learning outcomes. These courses are created through partnerships between high schools and a postsecondary partner. At the end of the course, students complete an exam developed by the partner college. Students have the potential to earn college credit from the partnering college, as well as high school credit.
