Online Registration / Data Confirmation

All families must complete data confirmation, also known as registration. This is where families update contact information, opt in or out of things like media releases, and acknowledge existing district policies. The process is entirely online through the Aeries parent portal, accessible at parent.ousd.org.

For additional info and tutorials on the data registration process, review the links below:

  1. Video walk-through of data confirmation on laptop

  2. Slide deck reviewing process on cell phone

First Day of School First Day of School

Monday, August 11th

    1. If you are driving, remember to drop off and pick up in the back parking lot off of Scout Road (not at the front of the school) and follow the traffic flow map.

    2. Parking is limited in the back Montera lot and drop off/pick up is more congested during the first week of school. Please plan ahead, leave extra time, and be patient with others.

    3. On the first day of school (Mon. August 11, 2025) information on students' 1st Period Class will be posted outside the MUR.

    4. Students will proceed to their 1st Period classroom. Students will get their Regular Class Schedules in their 1st period class. From there, students will proceed to periods 2 -8.

    5. Caregivers are welcome to walk their student(s) to class before 9:10 AM.

    6. The campus opens at 8:30 AM for drop-off. The 1st bell (warning bell) rings at 9:10 AM. Students must be in their classes, focused and ready to learn, by the time the 2nd bell (tardy bell) rings at 9:15 AM.

    7. Montera teachers, staff, and volunteers will be located throughout the campus to help students find their first class.

    8. The first week of school is a special schedule: all 8 classes rather than the block schedule on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, with normal hours of 9:15am-3:30pm. Wednesday, like every Wednesday, is a minimum day ending at 1:50 pm. Wednesdays alternate "A" Block (periods 1-4) and "B" Block (periods 5-8). We have "A" Block this week.

Check out Toro Tips for more information and answers to your questions.

Cell Phone & Electronics Policy

Cell phones, earphones, and other electronic devices must be placed in your locker between the hours of 9:10am to 3:30pm (regular days) and 1:50pm (minimum days). Not following the policy means that your electronic device will be confiscated by an adult. Please review the details of the policy here.

Dress Code Policy

Please also review the Montera Dress Code Policy with your student. Be aware in particular that crocs, slides, and other shoes without a permanent back are not permitted at school for safety reasons.

Bus Schedules and Information

Bus transportation to and from Montera is highly encouraged! Multiple students-only AC Transit bus lines serve Montera. Be sure to apply for your Free Student Transit Pass and check bus schedules here. Your student's Clipper Card will be shipped directly to the school and may take 4-6 weeks to arrive. If you had a bus pass last year, you do not need to reapply!

Lockers

Students who didn't attend Summer Bridge or Registration will get locker assignments during the first two weeks of school.

TIP: If you're buying a new lock, we recommend buying a pair of matching locks with the same combination, since you'll need one for your PE locker as well and that way there's only one combo to remember.

PE Uniforms

Get all the details about PE uniforms and place an order here. Your student's PE uniform will be delivered to Montera and distributed to them upon arrival. (Don't worry, students aren't required to dress for PE the first few weeks of school.) Financial assistance is available: please contact gear@monterapto.com.
