Family Science Night is almost here, and we need awesome parent volunteers to help make it a success!

We’re looking for helpers to facilitate simple, fun table activities like marble runs, paper airplane tests, and fingerprint detective stations. No science background is necessary—just patience, enthusiasm, and a willingness to encourage our young scientists!

When: Thursday, November 12

Location: Boulder Creek Elementary MP Room

Shift: 4:30 PM – 7:00 PM (Includes a quick 4:30–5:00 PM walk-through so you feel 100% prepared!)

We provide all materials and clear instructions before doors open. It’s a great way to support our school community, and the time flies by!

Join us for Family Science Night at Boulder Creek Elementary! Bring the whole family for an evening packed with hands-on discovery, interactive experiments, and cool demonstrations.

From building and launching in Physics & Engineering to colorful reactions in Chemistry, plus hands-on exploration in Life Sciences and Earth & Sensory Sciences, there’s something to spark curiosity for scientists of all ages! We’ll also be joined by special community guests sharing their passion for science.

This week, November 3–6, Boulder Creek Elementary will be participating in our 2026 Holiday Service-Learning Project: Holiday Cards for Our Local Veterans! 🎄💌

During lunch, students will have the opportunity to create handmade holiday cards filled with gratitude, kindness, and appreciation for the veterans in our community.

💙 When: November 3–6

❤️ Time: During lunch

⭐ Where: On Uppers

✂️ Supplies: All materials will be provided!

Through this special project, we hope to teach our students the importance of giving back, honoring those who have served, and recognizing that even the smallest acts of kindness can make a meaningful difference.

We are encouraging students to write thoughtful messages reminding our veterans that they are appreciated, remembered, and never forgotten. ❤️

All completed cards will be delivered to the Veterans Service Office in Santa Cruz and shared with local veterans during their Veterans Day services on November 11th.

A little card can make a BIG difference!

We can’t wait to see the creativity and kindness our BCE Bears share with those who have given so much for our country! 🐻❤️

Lost and Found will now be located at the Corner by the 3rd-grade building and bus pickup! We’re moving to a more organized spot to help protect items from the winter weather.

Each grade is creating a themed basket for the Bites & Brews Silent Auction, and we’d love your help filling them with fun items! From art supplies and LEGO sets to movie-night treats, baking goodies, outdoor activities, and sensory items, every donation helps make these baskets extra special.

Please send donations to your child’s classroom by Friday, January 15, 2027. Gift cards and monetary donations are also welcome!

BCE Parents Club is looking for parents who would love to help plan and organize our annual Bites & Brews Silent Auction Fundraiser on Friday, February 27th!

Whether you enjoy event planning, decorating, reaching out to local businesses, organizing auction items, helping behind the scenes, or simply lending a hand where needed, there’s a place for you on the committee. You do not have to do it all — this is a team effort!

The committee will meet once a month to share updates and keep planning moving forward. Volunteer as much as your schedule allows, meet other BCE parents, and help make this important fundraiser a success for our students and school.
