Bogota Middle School Update
September 26, 2025
Essentials
Thank you to all of our parents who were able to attend Back to School Night. We are looking forward to a fun and productive year!
As a reminder, we will hold Parent Conferences in late October, where you will have the opportunity to meet with your child’s teachers to discuss any important information. In the meantime, please feel free to reach out to teachers directly if there is anything pressing before then.
Today, we held our first Monthly Assembly! During the assembly, we recognized our Jr. Bucks of the Month as well as our Teacher/Staff Member of the Month. We also reflected on our current Value of the Month, responsibility, and introduced our upcoming October Value of the Month, respect.
A few important reminders:
-
7th Grade Class Dues – These were due today.
-
No School – Thursday, October 2, in observance of Yom Kippur.
-
Student Picture Day – Friday, October 3. Picture forms will be sent home on Monday, so please check with your child. Students may dress “up” for the occasion but must be dressed appropriately.
If you have not already done, please fill out your child's lunch application. The link below will take you to it.
Please make sure you have accessed the parent portal on Realtime.

Nurse Reminders!
6th Grade Parents
The New Jersey Department of Health requires all students entering the sixth grade to have the following immunizations:
One dose of Tdap vaccine
One dose of Meningococcal vaccine
Please submit proof of immunization as soon as possible to avoid potential exclusion from school.
If you have any questions, please contact the school nurse.
Thank you for your cooperation.
General Reminders
- Students should eat breakfast before coming to school. If they wish, breakfast is available for purchase in the cafeteria beginning at 7:30 a.m.
-
Students should get a good night’s sleep. Even though they are older, setting a consistent bedtime and shutting down technology at a set time is very important for rest and readiness.
-
If there are any medical issues the school should be aware of, please contact the main office immediately.
Please make sure your child is feeling well when they come to school. The policy is that your child must be fever free without any medication for 24 hours before returning to school.
If Your child is going to be absent, PLEASE CALL THE SCHOOL AND LEAVE A MESSAGE with your child's name, homeroom, and reason for absence. Attendance is very important in middle school.
Please reach out to the school if you have any questions or concerns.
