Hillendale families,

I hope you are having a great weekend! Thank you so much for joining us at our annual "Donuts with Grown-ups" event! We hope you had as much fun as we all did sharing a special treat and shopping at the Book Fair. Shout out to our incredible PTO for putting this special event on for us again this school year and "thank you" to all our families for supporting our school via the Book Fair.

With cooler weather forecasted, please plan to dress your children as if they will be outside for an hour per school day every day. We take every opportunity we can get at Hillendale to get outdoors, regardless of the weather!

As a reminder, school is closed for district in-service on Monday, October 20th.

Each week this fall, our students and staff will participate in a drill within the Standard Response Protocol. This week, (10/13 - 10/17) students will participate in their first Lockdown drill of the school year. I encourage you to have a conversation with your children both before and after our drill. Please feel free to reach out to me with any questions you might have!

🐾 The Husky Hustle Fun Run is coming!

Like last year, the event will take place during the school day on Friday, November 7th (rain date: November 10th).

This year’s theme is “Racing to Lift Up Hillendale!”

All students and staff will receive a Husky Hustle t-shirt featuring the winning student design from our t-shirt contest below!

All students will participate at no cost, and parents and guests are invited to come cheer on their Huskies! 👉 Find the run schedule and event details here

🏅 Husky Hustle T-Shirt Design Contest Winners!

We are excited to announce the winning designs for this year’s Husky Hustle t-shirt! 🐾

We received so many amazing submissions, and two of our talented students created designs with very similar ideas that perfectly captured this year’s theme — “Racing to Lift Up Hillendale.”

Rather than choose just one, we decided to combine the best elements of both designs to create our final t-shirt artwork.

👏 Congratulations to our young artists Sophia Beitler (5th grade) and Ben McDonald (4th grade) — and thank you to all the students who participated and shared their Hillendale pride through their designs!
