2023 Career Newsletter #1
Crafting Future Leaders: Building Career-Ready Students!
From the Desk of Valentine Torres
Welcome to the 2023-2024 edition of our career newsletter! Our aim is to unveil the abundance of opportunities awaiting our students, allowing them to acquire valuable skills while also earning a substantial income.
Embarking on the journey of a Teen-First-Job experience is an exciting step, and it all begins with determining the right time for your teenager to dive into their first job. Some teenagers might feel a sense of eagerness before they are truly prepared for employment (sometimes, they just haven't realized it yet). Conversely, there are instances where parents are ready for their teens to take on their inaugural job, but their teens have different aspirations.
We're here to guide and support our students and parents throughout this exciting process. If you happen to be aware of any employers seeking to hire students, please share that information with us at vtorres@hobart.k12.in.us. Let's embark on this journey together, unlocking numerous avenues for growth and achievement!
At Hobart High School we strive to have our Brickies college and career-ready too. This newsletter will be released monthly highlighting career opportunities available to our students.
