BDF Middle School Falcon Updates
August/September 2026-27
Message from the MS Assistant Principal
Welcome to the 2026-27 School Year!
Greetings MS Families!
Welcome to another exciting year at Benjamin D. Foulois Creative and Performing Arts Academy! I am honored to begin my 13th year at Foulois, my 31st year in education, and my 4th year as an assistant principal. Before becoming an assistant principal, I spent 21 years teaching students in grades 2–8, and another 6 years as an instructional lead teacher and testing coordinator, experiences that continue to shape my work with students, staff, and families.
As a sports enthusiast, music lover, and lifelong educator, I enjoy working with others to achieve common goals and celebrating the accomplishments of our students. I firmly believe that every student can meet high academic and social expectations when those expectations are clearly taught, consistently reinforced, and supported through strong partnerships between home and school.
Communication is important to me, and I encourage families to stay connected with staff and administration through email throughout the school year. I look forward to working with you to make this a productive, successful, and memorable year for every student.
I'm looking forward to a fantastic school year!
Sherman S. Hunter, III
Assistant Principal
