Weekly Update 1/23

January 23, 2026

Dear Oak Brook Families,

Thank you to everyone who attended our Heritage Festival. We appreciate all the hard work and planning that went into making our first event a huge success. Thank you to everyone who put together a table representing your family's heritage. Thank you to our PTO who sponsored the event and to Chartwell's (Parkway's food service provider) who put together a menu for anyone wanting to purchase dinner. We look forward to another great event next year.

Kindergarten registration has started. If your child, or a child you know, will be 5 years old by July 31, 2026 (born on or before July 31, 2021) they are able to start kindergarten in August. More information may be found using the link below.

Currently, Thursday, January 29 is our 100th day of school. Students may choose to dress up like a 100 year old if they want to do so. Grade levels will choose if they celebrate in other ways.

We hope you have a great weekend!

Sincerely,

Katie & Chris

Join us for the annual State of the District event – an evening that celebrates the musical talent of our students and the strategic work throughout our schools to help them succeed. You’ll hear about:

• Progress we’re making to ensure students are successful in school, life, and beyond.
• The economic uncertainties impacting our budget, and how to help identify solutions

When: Wednesday, February 4 – 5:30-7:30 p.m.
Where: Central High Commons, 369 N. Woods Mill Rd., Chesterfield, MO 63017

On Thursday, February 12th, our students will have their annual Friendship Party from 10:15-11:00. On this day, many students exchange traditional "Valentine's Day Cards." To help us keep all students safe, and to avoid any allergens, we ask that cards do not include food or snacks. Thank you for your help with this.

Online Auction

February 27 & 28

Save the Date! Our annual ONLINE AUCTION will be Friday, 2/27 - Saturday, 2/28! We have tons of amazing items to bid on this year!

Do you find yourself driving around West County? Do you visit local restaurants and other businesses? If so, we could use your help!

It's super easy! You don't have to do anything except take the donation letter inside the store or restaurant, say you're from Oak Brook, hand the letter to an employee or manager on duty, and then make note of where you've stopped so that we know where not to send people. I am dividing locations we need to visit by strip mall or section of the Ballwin/Manchester/Ellisville/Chesterfield area, so if you help, any locations you visit will be close together and limited in number.

Please reach out to Julie Bode (juliembode@gmail.com) or Meagan Gray (meagangray610@gmail.com) to get more info!
