Class schedules and teacher assignments.
Transportation information, if relevant.
Receive additional educational benefits, discounts and reduced fees.
High school students will not be able to enroll in fall activities until the back to school verification process is complete.
Anywhere, on-the-go: Families may complete the verification on their own time, whenever it’s convenient. If you prefer to utilize the ParentVUE mobile app to access your student’s information, please note that the app has been updated. Read more about downloading the updated version of ParentVUE.

Free Breakfast and Lunch Program continues for all students
The State of Minnesota Free Meals for all program began in 2023. In order to receive educational benefits families will still need to fill out an application for the 2026 school year. One application will cover a whole household.
Each school day every student may receive one complete breakfast and one complete lunch at no cost. A la carte items, such as extra milk, other drinks, or extra meal items are not covered by this program. Students will need to have funds in their meal accounts to purchase any additional food items.
If your family needs access to any other educational benefits available to your student, please visit ahschools.us/freereduced to complete an application.
Anoka-Hennepin asks that all families complete an online application to provide additional school funding to support all students in the district. By filling out this application, your school can earn funding and you can save money.
Educational benefits include:
- Athletics fees: Eligible students may qualify for fees to be waived or reduced.
- SAT, ACT, AP Fees: Students may be eligible for discounted fees for academic tests and some lab fees.
- Other high school activities: Students may qualify for discounts on speech, debate, theater, band and others.
- Additional benefits and cost savings: Chromebook device protection, Comcast Internet Essentials discount, Amazon Prime membership discounts, discounted bus fares with Metro Transit, Xcel Energy account assistance, discounts at museums and theaters.
Personal electronic device policy = No Student Phone use during school hours
Anoka-Hennepin Schools is committed to providing students and staff with a safe, secure, and positive learning and working environment.
The current district policy and language is as follows:
"Elementary & Middle School – Student Guidelines
At elementary and middle school levels, electronic devices must
be concealed and shall not be powered on or used in any way
during regular operations of the school day (8:25a-3:05p), during other school-
sponsored and supervised group activities during the school
day (e.g., during student assemblies, field trips, events, or other
ceremonies, etc.), or when their use is otherwise prohibited by
school personnel."
The guidelines align with school board-approved strategic priorities to increase academic performance. It is also a goal to support stronger personal relationships between students and staff in the school community.
The need for mobile phones to support educational needs no longer exists. All middle school students have access to a district-assigned computer and the internet during the school day.
Parents/guardians are advised to call the school office if they need to contact their child during the school day. The main office has a phone for students to use.
School administration and staff greatly appreciate your support!
Device Protection Plan available to students assigned Chromebooks
Technology plays an important role in preparing students for life, and Chromebooks are utilized as a daily learning tool in Anoka-Hennepin middle and high school classrooms. Anoka-Hennepin students in grades 6-12 are assigned a Chromebook from the school district to ensure access to technology systems that support classroom learning.
Over 28,000 Chromebooks are distributed to students across the school district. As careful as students and schools are, accidents do happen each year - and thousands of Chromebooks are assessed for damages throughout the school year.
In 2026-27: Incoming sixth-grade devices will be under warranty. The warranty will cover accidental damage. Families can still opt in for the tech protect plan, but it will only be needed to cover a stolen device (with a police report). The technology protection plan will not be needed for other damage. This is for sixth-grade only.
Families have the option to enroll in the Device Protection Plan.
The Technology Protection Plan is optional; it is not required, however, by electing not to participate in the Protection Plan, families may be required to reimburse the school district for the replacement or repair of damaged Chromebooks assigned to their student/s. Damaged or broken screens may cost between $50 to $100 depending on parts needed; or the replacement cost for the entire device could be up to $300.
Families can opt-in to the Device Protection Plan by logging into ParentVUE and selecting "Fees." Parents must select or decline coverage under the Device Protection Plan. The enrollment window is open from the time summer communication is sent until Friday, Oct. 30, 2026.
The plan cost is $20 per student or $60 per family per school year.
If the student qualifies for free or reduced-price school meals in the current school year, the cost of the Protection Plan will be reduced to $0.
Repairs with the Protection Plan are subject to a $20 deductible.
Enroll in the Device Protection Plan by logging into ParentVUE and selecting "Fees."
