Individual Lessons

Guitar Lessons

Individual lessons are 3o minutes each week.
Lessons are split into spring (mid January-mid May), summer (early June-mid August) and fall (early September-mid December) sessions. Lessons are held at various elementary schools throughout Sioux Falls. At time of registration, pick the instructor, location and day/time that works best for your schedule. The lesson time that is chosen will stay the same each week for the duration of lessons.
Each lesson is $20/half hour. The cost of the session is the number of lessons multiplied by $20/half hour (ex. $20 x 10 lessons = $200/session). You are required to pay for all lessons during the session. Sessions cannot be abbreviated.
Session length varies with lessons ranging from approximately 10-12 lessons during the school year and approximately 8-10 lessons during the summer.
No refunds for missed lessons.
Cancelled lessons due to inclement weather or instructor illness will try to be rescheduled if the schedule allows, or a refund will be processed.
Beginners through advanced - ALL AGES- Ages 7 -Adult!
Students will need to purchase guitar instruction books, details to be given upon registration.
Guitars are NOT provided; please make sure the student has their acoustic, bass or electric guitar and amp (if applicable) to practice with each week and that it is brought to each lesson.

Upright pianos/electric pianos are provided at lessons; please make sure the student has a piano/keyboard to practice with at home.

Community Learning Center (CLC) Families

ALL Community Learning Center (CLC) Families- Instructors will check out the piano/guitar student from the CLC program at the same school as lessons are at and check them back in after they are done unless they are the last student of the day that ends at 6:00pm. Parents can then pick up students from the music lesson room instead.

Community Learning Center (CLC) Summer Care Families- DUE TO THE POTENTIAL CONFLICT OF MUSIC LESSON TIMES COINCIDING WITH CLC OUTINGS IN THE COMMUNITY, due to outings taking place between 12:00pm-3:30pm, please check with your CLC site ahead of registering to see when field trips will be taking place. ONLY SIGN UP FOR AN AVAILABLE 30 MINUTE LESSON TIME ON A NON FIELD TRIP DAY or FROM 4:00PM-5:30PM (GOES UNTIL 6:00PM) ON A FIELD TRIP DAY.
