Cabaret this Weekend
The Alvirne Music Department is pleased to announce that tickets are on sale now for this weekend's Cabaret 2025: Musical Monarchs.
Cabaret is the music department’s largest annual event, and it is a great way to celebrate Music in Our Schools Month with three opportunities to hear our talented students:
Saturday, March 15th – 1pm
Saturday, March 15th – 6pm
Sunday, March 16th – 1pm
Tickets are available for purchase at https://alvirnemusic.ludus.com/
Alvirne Teacher to be Featured Nationally in Annenberg Classroom
Alvirne High School Social Studies teacher Donna Morin was recently announced as one of three educators nationwide to create a lesson plan for Annenberg Classroom's award-winning Constitution Project documentary series. Morin, who teaches college prep and Advanced Placement levels of psychology and U.S. government, crafted the lesson to be consumable for all learners as a great resource on the topic, "The Eighth Amendment: Cruel and Unusual Punishment." For the full story on the achievement, you can read the article on the Hudson School District website, located here.
Morin's full lesson plan, which is free to access, will be added to Annenberg Classroom's website later this month.
Putting for Patients Set for April 11
Alvirne is once again hosting Putting for Patients to raise money for the Dana Farber Cancer Institute in honor of past students Tyler Blanchette and Monique Braccio, who lost their very brave battles with cancer.
Bring the family for a fun night of minigolf in the Alvirne cafeteria, as well as raffles, food, balloon animals, and face painting!
Tickets are $10/person or $30 for a family and can be purchased here.
