We Kept Our Cool (Even When the AC Didnโt) ๐ Parker HEATWAVE 2026
Friday presented an unexpected challenge as both of our HVAC pumps failed during the school day, creating less-than-ideal conditions across the building. While it was certainly a hot and, at times, uncomfortable day, what stood out most was the way our Parker community came together.
Thanks to the quick response of Ms. Milena and our district technicians, one of the HVAC pumps was successfully repaired late Friday. We have since confirmed its functionality, and we fully expect the building to be cooling properly as students and staff return Monday morning.
I want to sincerely thank our staff for their grit and flexibility, our students for their patience, and our families for their understanding. Rather than frustration, there was a strong sense of teamwork and support that carried us through the day.
A special thank you to our PTO for immediately stepping in to support. What began as a small effort to provide relief for staff quickly turned into a campus-wide moment of joy, as they arranged for Kona Ice to serve both students and staff. Our partnership continues to make a meaningful difference.
I also want to recognize our front office team, who managed a high volume of student checkouts with efficiency and care. Additionally, thank you to those who stepped in to support during that time. Your teamwork did not go unnoticed.
Moments like these remind us that while unexpected challenges may arise, our strength as a community lies in how we respond together.
Thank you again for your continued support of Parker and I think Friday was a t-shirt worthy day to remember. ๐ฅต๐ #ISurvivedtheParkerHeatwaveOf2026 #WeBeatTheHeat2026

Lions of the Month - April 2026
Congratulations to our April Lions of the Month! Students will hear their name LOUD AND PROUD on TUESDAY ๐ morning's announcements. They don't know they've won yet, so please keep it a secret until then! If you are the proud parent of one of these students, you are invited to join us in the office to hear the morning announcements at 7:30!
After announcements, your child will receive a goody bag and Lions of the Month t-shirt (designed by two of our very own students!).
Please send your child to school on๐ WEDNESDAY, the 29th in this shirt. IF YOUR CHILD HAS EVER WON LIONS OF THE MONTH, PLESE SEND THEM TO SCHOOL WEDNESDAY IN THEIR SHIRT! We are all going to wear them to honor this monthโs winners!
Congratulations, students and parents! For the whole month, your child's poster will be featured on our bulletin board. At the end of the month, I will send it home, so you can show it off to everyone! This is a HUGE accomplishment for your child!

Parker Lions Shine at First Soccer World Cup Social โฝ๐ฅ
Our first Soccer World Cup event for students in grades 2nd through 5th was a tremendous success! From the moment the games began, the field was filled with excitement, laughter, and amazing positive energy. Children had an absolute blast participating, cheering for one another, and showing what it truly means to be team players.
What stood out most was the incredible sportsmanship displayed by all. Students supported each other, celebrated successes, and encouraged their teammates every step of the way. It was a joy to see such kindness and cooperation both on and off the field.
This special event would not have been possible without the support of our community. A heartfelt thank you goes to our Title 1 President, Angelica Lopez for coordinating the event, our Title 1 Coordinator, Evelyn Olivares for her organization and support, Title 1 Board Members and our parent volunteer dads who generously gave their time to serve as referees.
It was clear that both children and adults had a fantastic time. We are so proud of our Parker Lions for showing up with outstanding school spirit and representing our community and their team with pride!

PARKER PE EXPO๐๐
Hi Parker team, the annual PE Expo is just 3 weeks away!
On Friday, May 1st, all Parker students will participate in stations spread across the Parker field and inside the gym to demonstrate the skills, strength, and speed they have learned in Physical Education. Each class and/or grade level will wear a theme or color of their choosing, along with their tennis shoes, as they work together and have some fun.
Please be on the lookout for an email from our amazing PTO if you would like to volunteer for the event. Volunteer opportunities include set-up, clean-up, station leaders, station support, and classroom volunteers.
Unlike APEX, this is not an open event. If you want to see the students in action, you can volunteer to help.
Let's have some fun, Lions!
