• Dismissal is at 3:00 PM. Our dismissal line moves past so please be in line at 3:00!

Attendance:

• Regular, on-time attendance is one of the most important ways families can support student success. Every minute of our school day is purposeful!
• When students arrive late, they often miss morning meetings, important directions, classroom routines, and the beginning of academic instruction. These first minutes help students feel connected, prepared, and ready to learn.
• We also ask families to avoid picking students up early unless it is necessary for an appointment or other important reason. Learning continues until the end of the school day, and frequent early checkouts can add up to a significant amount of missed instruction.
• A Quick Note About Texas Attendance Law: Texas law requires students who are enrolled in school—including students enrolled in kindergarten—to attend school each school day for the entire instructional period, unless an absence is excused. Please remember that excused absences still mean missed instructional time and can count toward the 90% attendance requirement. Health-care appointments are among the circumstances specifically addressed by Texas attendance law when applicable requirements are met.
• Thank you for helping us make attendance a priority by having your Wrangler at school, on time, and ready to learn each day!

Arrival/Dismissal Reminders:

• PLEASE do NOT drop students off on Santa Rita Blvd. It is a very big safety concern!
• If your child cannot exit your vehicle in the morning independently, please park in the parking spots at the front of the school and walk them up to the building. This helps our line keep moving in the mornings!
• Car Tags need to be visible in your vehicle each day in the car rider line. If you forget your Car Tag we will need to see a photo ID to verify that you are approved to take a student home. Our staff members will help students walk to vehicles in the car line, no need to exit your vehicle!
• Kindergarten & 1st Grade Walkers must have a guardian present to be dismissed. Our staff will need to see your Car Tag or a photo ID to verify you are able to take a student.

School Day Reminders:

• Please label your child's belongings (ex: Backpack, Lunchbox, Water Bottle, Jacket, etc.)
• Students should bring a water bottle & healthy snack each day!
• If you need to make a transportation change please email: srestransportationchanges@libertyhill.txed.net prior to 1:00pm! Emails & Parent Square messages are NOT accepted.

From the School Nurse:

• Spare Clothing Reminder: Muddy recess? Spilled lunch? A rip or unexpected accident? It happens! Please send a spare set of clothes (or even a couple of sets!) for your child to keep in their backpack

• This reminder is for ALL grade levels, K–5! Having an extra outfit on hand helps students get changed, comfortable, and back to learning quickly—and can save an unnecessary trip to the clinic or front office.
