Collaborative, Innovative & Dedicated to learning for all.
Wildewood families,
We have had a fantastic month of learning and growing together! I want to give a quick shout-out to all of our students who have been working hard on IXL at home—your extra practice and dedication are truly paying off. Keep up the great work!
As we wrap up the month, here are two important reminders for this week:
BOOK IT! Reading Logs: This is the final week to add to your child's October reading logs for the BOOK IT! program. Be sure to turn those in at the end of the month so your reader can earn their rewards
Halloween Costume Parade: Join us for our Halloween Costume Parade this Friday at 1:45 PM. We can't wait to see all of the fun and creative costumes!
Thank you for your continued support and partnership at home. Let’s finish October strong!
Mr. Kaiser
Principal, Wildewood Elementary

On Friday, October 30 we will again be doing the Wildewood Costume Walk, where the students put on their costumes and walk around the building.
* The students are able to bring their Halloween costumes to change into later in the afternoon.
* Due to time, please do not send colored hairspray or face makeup, please be sure they are able to change into the costumes as much on their own as possible (if they can put the costume on over their clothes, even better!)
* Please be sure that all costumes are school appropriate--no blood, weapons, and not too scary as all of our students will be participating.
* Parents are welcome to come stand outside along the parade route to watch the students go by.
St. Gerald's Knights of Columbus Coats
St. Gerald's Knights of Columbus Coats are once again being offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Wildewood Arrival & Dismissal Routines
Arrival
School doors open at 7:45am.
All doors close at 8am.
Students who arrive after 8am will need to be checked in at the front office by an adult.
Grade Level Door Assignments for Arrival & Dismissal
Students will enter and exit through their assigned doors. This will help with the flow of traffic in the parking lot and inside the building. Breakfast will be served on both sides of the building.
Dismissal Locations
As students dismiss, this is where their grade level will stand. Siblings & carpools will meet each other outside, and will stand with the youngest sibling's teacher. Students will remain with their teacher at this spot until 3:10pm.
Parking Lot Procedures (DROPOFF)
The procedures will remain the same as past school years. We are asking that the curb lane be used as quick drop off and pick up only. If you are getting out of your car, please use the lane along the parking spots.
** RED LANE**- This lane is for families that want to get out and walk their child to the gate. Please use this lane if you are needing to talk to a teacher/adult in the morning
** GREEN LANE**- This lane is for moving traffic. NO ONE SHOULD EXIT THE VEHICLE IN THIS LANE.
** YELLOW LANE**- This lane is for parents dropping off that are not getting out of the vehicle. Wildewood staff are available to help open and close doors and get your child out of the vehicle. NO ONE SHOULD BE EXITING THE VEHICLE ON THE DRIVERS SIDE.

Please use this calendar to plan your vacations and appointments in advance.

Thank you for partnering with us to make school a priority and ensure success for our wildcats!
Cycle Days for the 2026-2027 School Year
Wildewood will be on a 12 Cycle Day Rotation. Wildcats will have 1 special lesson each cycle day and will rotate every 12 days. In the 12 day rotation your wildcat will receive, 3 music lessons, 3 physical education lessons, 3 art lessons, 2 media lessons, and 1 wellness lesson.
As a parent or guardian, you will use the cycle day calendar to identify what special your child has for the day. Your child's classroom teacher will provide you specific information on what special your child has each cycle day.
