NF Generosity Nets $25,000 from Run 4 Fun!
Caring for Self, Caring for Others
On Monday, NF students participated in their first official assembly, financially sponsored by the PTA. Elevate Dance Crew, an organization from NYC, shared some awesome dances, complete with special lighting and costumes. The last portion of the assembly focused on personal experiences that dance crew members shared. Themes around anti-bullying, self-respect, kindness, and perseverance were highlighted. Their message is right in alignment with October's theme of "Caring for Self, Caring for Others."
A second gesture this week was our "Tootle, Tootle Tuesday." This is an opportunity for students to write complimentary messages to classmates, friends, and staff members.
Fall Festival Costume Parade
On Friday, October 30th, beginning at 2:15 p.m., the students of NF will participate in the annual Fall Festival/Halloween Costume parade. This is an optional activity. Should your child participate, please be mindful of costume attire. Students may not wear costumes that depict violence, horror, blood, weapons, etc. Visitors who would like to view the parade may gather outside near the baseball field. There is no need to enter the building or sign-in. The parade will weave itself outdoors and pass our visitors' viewing area. Should we experience inclement weather, parents will be invited via the backdoors to organize in the gymnasium.
Save the Date!!
NF will be hosting a Cleveland Monsters game on Sunday, January 31 at 3:00 p.m. One lucky student will get a chance to ride the Zamboni ice machine during a break in the game's action. The student will be randomly selected from all ticket entries. Sign-up information will be shared in mid-October.
