Lutherville Lab Report
What's gone down & what's coming up at the leopards' lair.
October 22nd, 2021
We had some fantastic events to punctuate this week. Our first field trip of the year took students in our SEL program to Weber's Farm for fun and learning. We had a fantastic visit with beautiful weather and big smiles all around.
We also had gorgeous weather for the amazing Build-A-Leopard event at school on Thursday night. What a wonderful opportunity to be together and see our families in community. Thank you so much to the Lutherville Lab PTA and all the parent volunteers who pulled off this event.
Looking ahead, we wanted to share that as the seasons continue to change, we plan to continue our practice of only going outside for lunch if the temperature will be above 60-degrees by 11:00am and it's dry outside. Consequently, as we prepare for more indoor lunches, Nurse Vita and I have re-measured the cafeteria and made some slight changes to maximize spacing. We continue to remind students to face-forward while their mask is off as they eat, and return their mask once finished. Please reinforce this with your children.

Share the Treats Program
We have partnered with Dulaney High School Key Club to participate in the "Share the Treats" program to benefit those less fortunate. You can involve your children in this program by having them share their excess candy with others.
They can bring their excess "treats" to school on Monday, Nov 1st and Tuesday Nov 2nd. These treats will be collected and given to local shelters, hospitals, and other places for children who are unable to go "Trick or Treating."
Please only donate store wrapped confections. This project is part of the Key Club's efforts to help children better understand their responsibilities within our society. Thanks in advance to all those who will participate.
