Wow our third grade students had a great visit with author Dav Pilkey. What a very generous author. He gave each school a generous gift card to use at Anderson's Book Store to add to each school's library! He also gave students in the audience Dav Pilkey swag and a generous gift card to use at Anderson's Book Store. His message of positivity, purpose, and perseverance was shared and the students had a lot of fun. A wonderful opportunity! A big thank you to Mr. Drew for working with another LRC Director in the district to orchestrate and work with Anderson's books store to bring this opportunity to all 3rd grade students in D303.
Next week we have the honor and celebration of Veterans Day. Please have your child wear Red, White and Blue or their 60th Anniversary Town Hall Shirt to help show our support for our Veterans. Our 3rd and 5th grade students will be taking the CogAT. Our 5th grade orchestra students have a concert on the 10th. We have a busy week next week!
Have a great weekend!
