Next School Year: AM or PM preference form

Please fill out the following form if you have a strong preference regarding AM or PM classes for the 26-27 SY if your student will be remaining at ELC. We cannot guarantee your preference but we always strive to work with families. Our survey will close in early May 2026.

Morning Session: 8:00 a.m. - 10:30 a.m.
Afternoon Session: 12:05 p.m. - 2:40 p.m.
Wednesday Early Dismissal: 2:10 p.m.

The Barrington Junior Women's Club invites children entering Kindergarten or 1st grade to register for Safety Town 2026! Safety Town is a week-long educational summer program that teaches participants vital safety lessons through activities and demonstrations. An outdoor miniature town gives children a hands-on experience using safety skills while riding trikes and acting as pedestrians. Registration opens at 9 a.m. on April 1, 2026!

Ready, Set, Kindergarten district website with important information

As we head into the second half of the school year, we want to remind everyone and emphasize the importance of maintaining a safe environment in our parking lot.
With the addition of the new turn lane off Dundee Road, please be especially mindful when entering and exiting the lot.
Upon arrival in the parking lot, please park in the back row or the upper lot, to ensure our many buses are able to arrive, load, and unload in a safe and timely manner. They are required by law to report violators.
Please adhere to all posted signs, avoid distractions while driving, and be on the lookout for our young pedestrians. Additionally, remind your little ones to always use designated crosswalks and to wait for an adult’s guidance when navigating the parking lot.
We also want to remind you to review the post shared on Seesaw regarding the procedure for daily student pickup by car (also linked HERE).
Your vigilance is crucial in ensuring the safety of our students.
Together, we can create a secure and welcoming space for our community. Thank you for your cooperation and commitment to our children’s safety!

🚌All students have been assigned bus transportation for the school year.

🚗 If you plan to drive your child to and from the ELC and do not need bus service, please notify our ELC Administrative Assistant: Arely Gamez at agamez@barrington220.org or call the ELC Office at 224-770-4300.
If your child needs transportation to or from a daycare or a different address within Barrington 220 boundaries, please submit an Alternate Transportation Request here:

Submit requests as soon as possible to avoid delays in route changes.

Alternate Transportation Request Form

If you would like to request Alternate Transportation from a daycare provider or another location within Barrington 220 district boundaries, you must fill out the form above.

On the following dates, ELC students will NOT have school. We conduct developmental screenings to accept new students into our program. If you have a child approaching 3 years of age, please sign up for a screening using the link below. Also, please share this information with other families in your neighborhood as we love accepting new students who need our program.

If you wish to join but English is not your first language, please let us know, and we can try to set up interpretation so you can be involved! ELC Art Night March 12th

Join us for ELC's Family Art Night on Thursday, March 12th, at 5 PM! This fun evening is open to all ELC students, staff, parents, siblings, and friends. The cost includes a step-by-step art workshop with Kaleidoscope School of Fine Art, a Paint Set (watercolor paper, paints, brush, frame), and snacks! The last day to register is Monday, March 9th. We can't wait to see you there!
