Principal's Update
Arrival/Dismissal Safety Reminder
Please refrain from using cell phones during arrival/dismissal. Officer Phelps has been present at morning arrival lately to help ensure the safest process possible. Further, please be very aware of pedestrians in the crosswalk. We had two close calls last week with students in the crosswalk.
Valentine's Day Reminder
Many of our classrooms exchange Valentines, and your child(ren)'s teacher will communicate their specific grade level plan. However, please keep in mind that children cannot exchange food/candy if they choose to participate.

Updates from Nurse Kristen
We have seen many Flu cases the past week at Vinal. Remember to stay home if you are not feeling well, and you must be fever free without any fever-reducing medication for 24 hours before you can return to school. The student should also feel well enough to make it through the whole school day before returning, as it often is some days before you feel better after coming down with the flu. Please always reach out with any questions. Stay well!

Attention 5th Grade Parents! The 5th Grade Send Off is a bunch of fun and meaningful activities meant to celebrate and commemorate the end of elementary school (the school most students will have spent the largest amount of time in)! Some events are organized by teachers, some by parents and some by both; if you want to help – reach out! There’s room for all! To help support the events, the suggested donation amount per fifth grade student is $40 - but all donations are welcomed. When making a donation, please note the name of your fifth grader and “5th Grade Send Off.”

Community News
In Oscar Wilde's comedic masterpiece, "The Importance of Being Earnest," two charming bachelors, Jack Worthing and Algernon Moncrieff, make a habit of using fictitious names to escape their social obligations.
Come join the NHS Fourth Wall Players for a night of laughter and clever repartees—because in the world of Wilde, being earnest has never been so entertaining!
The show’s run time is 40 mins and the whole performance will likely be a one hour experience.
