Dear Presentation Families,

This month we focus on growing faith in the home; Archbishop Hebda's suggestion is to share one prayer intention at dinner or bedtime. During morning meetings at school, the students share prayer intentions so I believe they will welcome the opportunity to do so at home as well.

Next Monday, the boys and then the girls in grades 6-8 will be meeting with Father Peter in the chapel as he leads them in a reflection on growing in faith and service. This is truly a special opportunity ti reflect on their path forward as Catholic youth.

I hope all families will attend conferences next Monday or Tuesday evening from 3:40 to 7:40. Thank you to the families that are providing dinner for our staff - it is most appreciated! If you would like to pitch in on helping with the meal, the sign up for it is farther down in the newsletter!

Have a lovely weekend!

Sincerely,

Barb Kearn, Principal

Early Pick Up Early Pick Up

Just a friendly reminder that if you plan to pick up your child early unless it is for a medical appointment, it is considered an unexcused half day absence. Please do your best to make sure your kiddo stays in school for the full day so they don't miss out on any important learning!

Socktober Socktober

During the month of October, our Donuts & Devotionals group will be holding a Socktober drive to collect socks for those experiencing homelessness. Any families that wish to donate to this cause can send in new pairs of socks with their students and have them bring the socks to

Ms. Hennessey's classroom. We will begin collecting them now through Friday, October 30th.

Presentation's Discovery Center Updates Presentation's Discovery Center Updates

This week was our second week of our Community Helpers unit of study and National Fire Safety Week, which made it the perfect time for a visit from Maplewood Police and Fire Departments! Preschoolers and Kindergarteners listened to the police officers and fire fighters share information about how to stay safe and had the opportunity to ask questions as well. The fire fighters showed us what it looks and sounds like when they are in their full fire gear. Students also got to see a fire truck and two police cars. If you heard sirens from around the school on Tuesday morning, that was just our students having fun pressing the buttons in the police car!

We are so grateful for the Maplewood policer officers and fire fighters who came to visit our students and spend time with us. These visits are so fun for the kids, and, even more importantly, they help the kids feel safe and comfortable around police officers and fire fighters should they ever encounter them in a real emergency.
