Message from the Principal
9 Days or Less for School Success
As we continue our journey through the academic year, I wanted to take a moment to emphasize the critical importance of regular attendance for your child's success at school.
Research consistently shows that consistent attendance is directly linked to academic achievement. Students read better, have higher GPAs, and will be on track for high school graduation. If we have 180 days of school, research shows that missing no more than nine days of school per academic year sets up your child for the best chance of success. By maintaining this level of attendance, we can significantly enhance your child's chances of achieving academic excellence and reaching their full potential.
Every day at school presents valuable learning opportunities, from engaging lessons to collaborative activities and interactions with peers. When students are absent, they miss out on these crucial learning experiences, which can hinder their progress and impact their overall academic performance. Additionally, consistent attendance fosters a sense of routine and discipline that is essential for success both inside and outside the classroom.
As partners in your child's education, we need your support to ensure that they attend school regularly and punctually. Here are a few practical steps you can take to help reinforce the importance of attendance:
Establish a consistent morning routine that allows your child to arrive at school on time.
Encourage open communication with your child about the importance of attending school every day.
Schedule appointments and family activities outside of school hours whenever possible.
Monitor your child's attendance and address any concerns promptly with school staff.
Remember, your involvement plays a crucial role in shaping your child's attitude towards attendance and education as a whole. By prioritizing regular school attendance, we can work together to provide our students with the best possible foundation for success. Remember "9 Days or Less for School Success!"

Teacher of the Month
Jamie Churches', State Representative HD 27, office has a new ‘Teacher of the Month’ nomination form available on their website. As always, they wish to highlight the phenomenal educators of our district and showcase their incredible efforts in the classroom, with our students, and within the school community. I have attached the link to this email for your convenience. As they receive nominations, her team will reach out accordingly to schedule a day/time to present the award to a teacher per school month. Last year, Brittany Gurney received this award. We have so many awesome educators!
