Lutherville Families,

It was another great week at Lutherville Lab!

Friday was a sure highlight. We started with our Growth Parade, giving each child a chance to celebrate a way that they have grown academically, socially, or in another way this school year, and parade past their schoolmates while the Steel Drum Band made for a festive environment! And we capped it all off with a performance from our Dance Club! Gratitude to all our teachers for helping students see their growth, to Mrs. Tunison for leading the Steel Drum Band, and Ms. Gina Richmond for rallying the intermediate Dance Club students for an encore performance!

The weather held out and we were able to hold our Primary Sports Day this afternoon. We had a special surprise appearance from Ravens Mascot Poe and the Ravens Cheerleaders for our mascot race! It was another great day to be a Leopard.

Next week our spring celebrations continue with Grade Level picnics, Rita's Night and Food Truck Night! If you are looking for a summer camp, there are a couple flyers attached to the end of the newsletter.

Growth Parade

Volunteer Appreciation Breakfast - June 12th

Thursday, June 12th, we will hold our Volunteer Appreciation Breakfast in the Cafe at 9:30. This is a school event we hold to extend our gratitude to family and community members who help make our programming possible here at Lutherville.

At the event, we will have a slideshow from the year, our kindergarten chorus will perform a song, a students connected to the volunteer (family or through activity) will briefly honor each volunteer. A light breakfast is provided.

If you have volunteered at Lutherville this year and would like to attend, please complete this form so that we can plan to recognize your contributions. Thank you!

Sports Day!

Sensory Garden Memorial for Bailee and Serenity

On Friday, May 23rd, we presented the families of Bailee and Serenity with gifts, remembrances, and the unveiling of our planned memorial - a sensory garden within our Learning Garden to allow all future Leopards to interact with a vibrant and engaging space that represents the spirit of these two girls. We are grateful to our partners at Caliday, who made a generous donation to this effort.

Carver Senior Jay Frisby created this stunning, beautiful portrait of Bailee and Serenity that captures their bright spirits and will bring love to all who pass by it in our display case.

Notes From the PTA

Rita's on Mon June 2nd, 5-8 pm

We will kick off next week with a spirit night at Rita's - 1407 York Road. Please join us!

Food Truck Night Moved to Wed 6/4

We look forward to having beautiful weather and 4 food trucks with us next Wed June 4th for Food Truck Night, still 5-8 pm, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church parking lot - 1609 Kurtz Ave. Kona Ice, Boss Burger, Taste Like Home (Indian) and Lyfe Cafe are confirmed so far. And there will be a bake sale and new Leopard croc charms for purchase. It will be a great night!

Please note: a few less trucks are available than for the original date and we have made our best attempts to add in a few more trucks. Therefore, we would appreciate everyone's patience with possibly longer wait times than previous years. If you have a truck to recommend, please email luthervillelabpta@gmail.com.

Yearbook Distribution and New Orders

We will distribute yearbooks to students at school on Mon June 2. If you would still like to place an order for a yearbook, please email luthervillelabpta@gmail.com. Extra copies, if available beyond these orders, will also be sold at Food Truck Night. They are $25 each.
