PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE π
π Hello Bobcat Families,
October is around the corner! Time is flying by! ππ
A big thank you to all the parents who came to my 1st Coffee with the Principal of the year! I forgot to do my tradition of taking a selfie of us! Next time! βπ€πΈ
Have a great week and go Bobcats! πΎ

PADRES SPIRIT DAY βΎπ§’π€π
Padres have their first playoff game this Tuesday, 9/30. Let's show support by wearing Padres gear or colors!
PARENT CONFERENCES
Parent conference confirmation letters went home last week! Please contact your teacher if you have not signed up yet!
October 9th and 10th there is NO SCHOOL so parents may attend conferences. We are aiming for 100% participation! This is a great way to connect with your child's teacher and find out their progress so far this year!
Tips from Ms. Laura:
Here are two important things to keep in mind, the conference will be for 20 minutes therefore being on time is crucial. The other one is to notify your childβs teacher in advance if you need an interpreter. The interpreters have a schedule, and wonβt be able to assist if interpretation is needed last minute.
CUSTODIAN DAY! π§Ή
10/2 is Custodian Day! We thank Mr. Omar for all he does! We also thank our night crew: Mr. Matt, Mr. Daniel, Ms. Marissa, Ms. Claudia, Ms. Olga, and Ms. Kenia for keeping our school clean. We appreciate them all!
BOBCATS ARE LEADERS!
Our Bobcat Library Leadership Program provided this 5th grade student an opportunity to read to our Kinder students. Great job! π
RUNNING CLUB STARTS π
Big thanks to Coach Osbourne and Mr. Illich for kicking off running club last week! They took it to the next level this year, offering our students the option to run 3 times a week! Thanks to them for offering our Bobcats this opportunity!
EXPLORE IN ACTION π
We have approximately 280 students in after school classes. Check out some pictures of what are Bobcats are up to, including our world famous cheer team in action!

ATTENDANCE MATTERS β
FROM MS. SHAFFER
Our goal for our school is to have an average of 94% Average Daily Attendance. Our SEAT team is going to be looking at our data and seeing why we had the increase but please remember EVERY DAY COUNTS! When your child misses school, they miss out!
Regular student attendance plays a critical role in our collective mission to ensure every student achieves their fullest potential.
Why Attendance Should Be a Top Priority:
Academic Achievement: Regular attendance is fundamental to student success. Each school day is a building block in the learning process. Consistent attendance helps students keep up with coursework, understand key concepts, and perform better academically.
Social and Emotional Development: School is a place where students develop crucial social skills and emotional resilience. Frequent absences can hinder their ability to form strong relationships with peers and teachers, impacting their overall development.
Future Opportunities: Consistent attendance is linked to higher graduation rates and better long-term outcomes, including higher education and career prospects. By prioritizing attendance, we are directly contributing to students' future success.
School Culture: Regular attendance fosters a positive school culture and enhances the learning environment for everyone. It creates a sense of community and ensures that all students have equal access to the resources and support they need.
Felicita Back to School Attendance Challenge!
